Avignon (Michael Robertson) has been a Seattle based DJ and producer since 2022. He is influenced by DJ SNEAK, Low Steppa, Stacey Pullen, Franky Rizardo and Derrick Carter. As a professional Dj he has played the likes of Showbox Market, Showbox SODO, Marquee Theater Tempe AZ, Ace of Spades Sacramento CA, The Midway San Francisco CA, Neighbors, Club Trinity, Sam’s Tavern,Cafe Racer and the iconic Monkey Loft in Seattle WA.

Michael has been a DJ and a content contributor for De La Creme , Duck Brunch, White Rabbit Group, Uniting Souls, VIVA, 5K, Studio 4/4, Tribe Equinox, Reflect the Glow, Given Groove, REVEL, Flammable Sunday’s, VIVID Presents, APOG, Psychedelic Church of Love and Music and more. He has recently signed a remix to the Record label Late Night Munchies.

You may have seen Korra the Kid perform at festivals such as Basscoast, Cascadia, APOG, or Bellingham Arts and Music Festival. She also frequently plays well-loved Seattle venues such as Kremwerk and Monkey Loft. Her new projects with Mirin Doja include Djing under the moniker DJ Girlfriends and running Slop Radio (@slop.sea) , an internet mix series on the slop Seattle Youtube channel.

This month's edition of 'One Nation Under A Groove' features Seattle-based DJ, Calico (@calicosea).

Calico has been DJing dance floors at clubs, concert venues, and parties around Seattle & the PNW since 2013.

He independently produces, hosts, and curates Bad Idea, a party that has become a mainstay of Seattle nightlife. Bad Idea has hosted some of the best DJs along the West Coast, as well as DJs worldwide from Taipei to Sydney to São Paulo. It just returned from an LA debut in May and is making a return to Portland on July 12 at Kolectivo.

He also regularly releases dance edits and remixes on his SoundCloud (soundcloud.com/calicosea/sets/calico-tracks) and Bandcamp (calicosea.bandcamp.com), fusing elements of Baltimore Club, House, Breaks, and Jersey Club into playful tracks with DJs and dance floors in mind.

Manwell is a DJ from the East Coast of South Florida, now planting roots in Seattle. With a passion for dance, soul, and funk music, Manwell began his DJ journey to share his love for these genres with the world. As he delved deeper into the world of dance music, he discovered a profound connection with Deep House, Tech House, UK Garage, and Techno. Drawing inspiration from the sounds of the early 90s to mid 2000s Chicago, New York, and Detroit house and techno scene, as well as the current minimal deep tech European scene, he began crafting his own unique sound. It wasn’t long before he found his home in Seattle’s rich and tight-knit dance music community. The city’s vibrant scene and array of talented artists, DJs, and producers fueled his ambition, pushing him to develop his skills and refine his sound.

Catch Manwell later this month at the one year anniversary of deep and sound on September 27th highlighting black dance music DJs in the PNW and nationwide. The night will be a collaboration between “House Party Seattle” (@housepartysea) and VIBE (Very Into Black Excellence) (@veryintoblackexcellence) at Cherry (@cherry.seattle), Seattle (Kremwerk Complex (@kremwerk))

Azmi Haroun is a local Syrian-American DJ and producer from Seattle, who goes by the moniker Azmito. Having spent time living in the Middle East, France, LA and NY, and as a lifelong musician, he has a vast digital and vinyl library to pull from — often spinning funk, house, arabic tunes with a keen ear for sensual sounds, and an endless search for the perfect groove.

This all-vinyl mix is geared around — Electronic Sexy Shit — an hour of ephemeral synth and sexy chord-soaked trax, with a touch of new wave and funk, and a heavy slab of early and late 90s house from NY, the UK, Italy and beyond. One last dance for the summer!

As Latin music emerged, La Mala Noche and her mentor, Papito Peace, identified that this was missing within the Seattle Electronic and Underground scene. Driven by a passion for advancing Latin Club culture in the Pacific Northwest, the duo took the initiative to bring this forward through their party, Sazón Seattle. This environment showcases emerging talent in Global Dance Music, particularly inviting artists with Latin and Hispanic identities, while providing a space for music lovers to connect, celebrate, learn, and create unforgettable memories together. Creating this space has positioned La Mala Noche as a leader in introducing emerging genres like Latin Core and Uwuaracha to the dance floor, enhancing her role as a cultural connector between Latin America and the Pacific Northwest. She’s uniting communities through her music and transporting her audience through time and space, evoking the warmth of home, culture and the future.

Olas Perpich is a well known west coast party wizard who has been a part of various event spaces and scenes over the last decade, namely as the founder of BAMF! (Bellingham Arts & Music Festival) a multi-day diverse local-to-Bellingham music and camping event that pulled 1000 plus attendees in 2017-2019, with the most recent rendition in 2022. While the festival has been on hiatus the last few years, Olas has taken the time to continue honing his own diverse creative endeavors including his numerous playful music aliases including the dark and brooding PRPTR8R; the high voltage and ecstatic Perpetual Motion, or the ethereal and liminal Ambeyoncé; but this mix is just Olas being himself, playing what usually moves him - mostly deep, soulful, and groove-centric solid-foundational house.

Nahual's journey as a DJ began in the early 2000s, rooted in the vibrant dance floors of Mexico, where he first came onto the scene as a go-go dancer in various discotheques and even took part in the iconic Love Parade Mexico 2002. After that, he started DJing at friends’ parties, mixing tracks on a Denon CD player—sharing beats, building vibes, and falling even deeper in love with the craft.

A lifelong melómano, music has always been Nahual's passion and compass. Three years ago, he returned to the decks—this time behind the turntables—reviving the old school art of mixing vinyl. His style blends timeless grooves and underground gems that he's discovered over the years, with one mission: to get people moving.

The intro to the mix features audio clips about Marvin Gaye as a way of grounding the set in something timeless and meaningful. His voice, especially from 'What’s Going On', captures a deep sense of struggle, love, and social awareness that still resonates today. This tone is meant to go beyond just beats toward something that invites reflection and emotion before the journey of the mix really begins. The mix is meant to connect the past and present and reminding us that music can heal, question, and inspire all at once.

La Gitana grew up in Chicago, Illinois and was always surrounded by Chicago House Music.

In her teens she discovered Juke at parties being thrown around the city.

She’s always been interested in exploring different kinds of music, but didn’t get into DJing until
early 2021, when she had a lot of time on her hands during the pandemic and finally decided to dive in.

She considers herself to be an open format DJ, always exploring and playing whatever feels
true to her at the moment, drifting between Juke, Jungle, House and Minimal Techno.

Her first gigs were at vintage markets and then later at small music venues and bars around the city.

After a few years of DJing she started a small music collective/event-series called Evolution
Orange with the intention to create a safe space for empowerment, creativity and togetherness.

And she’s been DJing and throwing events ever since.

Originally from the Basque Country (Spain), and now settled in Seattle (U.S.), Allen Legorburu is a multi genre DJ and producer whose music reaches a really wide and diverse spectrum, from the most Ambient-Chill-Downtempo sounds all the way to a much more dancy flavours such as deep house, techno, breaks and many other avenues of electronic and non electronic music.
