Disco Stu is back this month for the one year anniversary of 'One Nation Under A Groove' on particle.fm. The first hour of the show features a guest mix from JENNGREEN, a local Seattle DJ who recently started a residency at Kremwerk called Atmosphérique. In the second hour of the show I've put together a mix of vocal house tracks that got me thinking of a summer vibe by the beach to help me get through the cold, wet winter months out here in Seattle.

On this month's edition of 'One Nation Under A Groove' on particle.fm, the first hour features a guest mix from Geo Xeal (@geoxeal), a Seattle based DJ who blends together a wide range of genres into eclectic sets to get the people moving, feeling and dancing. The second hour of the show highlights recent releases on Bandcamp I've picked up from Kooxla, CalvoMusic, S.Dot, Kade Young, SGH and MomaReady. Mixed in will be tracks that caught my ear from comps off of Juke Bounce Werk, Vibraphone Records and Somersault Records.

This month's edition of 'One Nation Under A Groove' on particle.fm features a guest mix from DJ Lara, a Seattle-based DJ for over 20 years.

She started out as one of the first female DJs to represent psytrance in the city and now plays mostly techno and organic house. She has DJ’d in every kind of venue imaginable, from abandoned train tunnels and clubs to forests, farms, hills, and snowy mountains all around the Pacific Northwest. Her mix showcases a wide range of house music with nods to her psytrance roots.

Her original productions and remixes have been featured on labels such as Juke Bounce Work, Samsara Records and Dome of Doom. Carl Junglist, an EP she released on Bandcamp last year, is one every drum'n'bass lover needs to check out.

He is the creator of RenderTune (rendertune.com), a free open-source video rendering desktop application that helps YouTube music uploaders and audio archivists render, upload & promote music videos online. His YouTube channel “martinradio2” features new music uploads daily and his archive.org account (@martinradio) has full files of vinyl/cd/cassette rips and digitizations.

This month's edition of 'One Nation Under A Groove' features a guest mix from Juco (@jucoofficial). A Seattle local, Juco has been honing her DJ skills since 2019. She specializes in mixing various house genres, techno, UK garage and breakbeats. She has been producing her own tracks since 2016, inspired by artists such as Skrillex, Deadmau5, and Tchami as a teenager. Most recently, she has performed at Seattle clubs such as Vermillion and Kremwerk.

Juco spends most of her time digging through underground Soundcloud tracks and gathering inspiration from other creatives in Seattle. By blending the genres she loves, she brings a refreshing sound to the Seattle music scene.

This month's edition of One Nation Under A Groove features a guest mix from Seattle-based DJ 'nohup' (@miseryconfusion). They operate @illegal.afters.tracks, a label for party people everywhere, whether they're keeping the party going... or going home. The label's latest release came out in September and features tracks from Seattle-based Sketch Artist.

On Nov 18th you can catch them at the @a.n.t.i.p.o.d.e + @groundhum Experimental Music Festival. Ground Hum is an event they've helped curate for the last 2.5 years and they're excited to be partnering with ANTiPODE to put on this show focused on a conversation between Seattle and Iran.

The first edition of ‘One Nation Under A Groove’ for 2024 features a guest mix from Daphne Too (@daph.flac). She recently started a reoccurring party, Modern Heart (@moderheartdjs), with Sepha (@sephabeats) which emphasizes groove-oriented house, garage, and club music in the Tacoma and Olympia, WA area.

The guest mix is one in which showcases a range of genres that they’re currently most interested in, and emphasizes several artists who provide a great deal of inspiration to produce and to DJ.

In 2024, Daphne Too hopes to continue to support the Tacoma dance scene and release their own tracks.

Avignon (Michael Robertson) has been a Seattle based DJ and producer since 2022. He is influenced by DJ SNEAK, Low Steppa, Stacey Pullen, Franky Rizardo and Derrick Carter. As a professional Dj he has played the likes of Showbox Market, Showbox SODO, Marquee Theater Tempe AZ, Ace of Spades Sacramento CA, The Midway San Francisco CA, Neighbors, Club Trinity, Sam’s Tavern,Cafe Racer and the iconic Monkey Loft in Seattle WA.

Michael has been a DJ and a content contributor for De La Creme , Duck Brunch, White Rabbit Group, Uniting Souls, VIVA, 5K, Studio 4/4, Tribe Equinox, Reflect the Glow, Given Groove, REVEL, Flammable Sunday’s, VIVID Presents, APOG, Psychedelic Church of Love and Music and more.
