First up, our very own Greg Middleton hosted the show with a live broadcast. Greg has been busy of late, with another one of his  Borderline events, private parties and other radio work such as co-host of the Feel Good Friday Show and his own monthly Beyond Borders show. He dug around the crates and brought his usual fun, and eclectic vibes to the Disco Waltons turntables.    

Up next and making her Sunday Service debut is the super Sarahtonin. Sarah is a London-based upcoming DJ and music aficionado who brings a mood lifting energy to any dancefloor. She comes armed with rare disco and house cuts and an encyclopedic knowledge of music both old and new. 

She has played at renowned venues across the capital and south-east such as Corsica Studios, Night Tales, Spiritland, Ridley Road Market Bar, plus the super Faith In Strangers (Margate), where she has quickly earned herself a reputation for filling dancefloors. You can also catch her at Campfire, King's Cross, for her monthly residency taking place on the second Thursday of each month. Sarah has also contributed guest mixes to platforms such as Apple Music, AAJA Music and The Chillout Tent.

Fresh from her most recent appearance at Low Life at Prince of Wales, where she played alongside Bill Brewster, Frank Broughton and Greg Wilson, we are delighted that Sarah is this week’s special guest on our show this week! She plays at many of the UK festivals including Glastonbury, Camp Bestival, Shindig, We Out Here, Beatherder and Wilderness. She has supported for the Craig Charles funk and soul club tour and has numerous gigs in London and Bristol area. We're really excited to have her on the show week... in her own words she describes her mix as "a fusion of soulful House, Balearic vibes and even a touch of gospel which is very apt as the show is called Sunday Service". I bloody enjoyed this episode! As usual I crammed in a few promos alongside the eclectic mix in hour 1. In a departure from my usual ways, I slowed things right down in the last 15 mins… to make way for my guest this fortnight, J-Felix, who started his guest mix with a generous slab of hip hop. I saw J-Felix DJ earlier this summer at a day festival in Crystal Palace Park which was headlined by Sister Sledge. I really enjoyed listening to his eclectic, funky selections in the sunshine, so decided to invite him on for a guest mix.

He’s put together a wonderful mix that would suit a sunny day. It’s mostly hip hop, and that’s just fine with me. But the pace picks up in the second half - still some hip hop flavours, but some boogie funk and the like too. A bit different to many of the guest mixes I’ve had on recently, but all the better for it.
