Belfast based Phil Kieran is back on Twin Turbo with remixes from TWR72 and Catz 'N Dogz. 

One of the most reliable producers around, with a discography that includes releases on heavily respected era-defining labels (Cocoon, Soma, Skint, Novamute, Gigolo, and his own Phil Kieran Recordings), Phil has managed to consistently reinvent his sound, staying cool without ever being trendy - a quality which is reinforced by his affiliation with Tiga's label, who have done the same over their 15+ year history. 

There's a sense of cool conviction here, no doubt rooted in vast experience. Sonically refined grooves honed to their essential steel underpin top-line melodies that are confidently off-centre. It takes real skill to go 'wonky' but not lose your audience. There's nothing superfluous, just a pair of solid club tracks built for very different rooms: Liquid Night - a cold hard warehouse assassin - and Saturdays - a warm club pumper. 

Mixing things up, Dutch duo TWR72 take their concrete fists to Liquid Night, while Polish tech-house pair Catz 'N Dogz dim the lights and deepen the groove on Saturdays.

The Major Lazer vs Paff remix of ‘Stampede’ highlights the onslaught of the official remix package for the track which cemented Dimitri and Mike an incredible SIXTH Beatport #1 this year – preceded by ‘Ocarina’ (officially Belgium’s #1 single as we go to press), ‘Project T’, ‘Chattahoochee’, ‘Turn It Up’ and ‘Mammoth’.

All six tracks and more are sure to be musical highlights of the ‘Bringing Home The Madness’ arena shows now just days away in Belgium’s biggest stadium, Antwerp’s Sportspaleis. After a super long hiatus, Discobelle Records is back with a brand new string of releases to keep you up in 2014. Arriving this month, the High Steppin' EP from Austrian house-maestro, Dizzy Womack, is a slick little 4-tracker featuring three original cuts from Womack and remix duties from Look Like.

As the follow up release to his 2013 EP, Black Ice, on Top Billin', we find Dizzy in fine form with opening cut, "French Sin." A hypnotic groover with dancing, French-spoken-word vox peppered thru-out. Contrary to its name, "High Steppin'" gets deep, down and dirty with a booty-chakra rumbling bass and pitched down vocals. "She Goes Back" is the deepest of the bunch with stuttering vox and filtered pads, the accompanying remix from Look Like version amps up the more "garage-y" elements which lends the tune a more menacing vibe.

Releasedate is January 31st. Thanks for starting you new year out right with Dizzy Womack and Discobelle Records!
