New York flavoured edits by Jacques Renault in NeighbourSoul Rhythms’ third reference Top house tunes and a lot of funk. This is how NeighbourSoul Rhythms’ third instalment of edits sound. This time under the stamp of Jacques Renault -currently resident in New York- NBS003 follows in the wake of its predecessor: 4 cuts direct to the dance floor, now cooked with special Brooklyn ingredients. In NeighborSoul Edits Vol. 2, Renault, old acquaintance and emblem of the North American house scene, dusts off his art of sampling in 4 tracks that take a look back at a time in the America of discotheques, guitar riffs of funk and most importantly, dance. 4 edits from the late 70s and early 80s that confirm the label’s taste towards the oldfashioned sound born in the American continent. The EP begins with 'Magic Rhythm Machine', a true 70s disco banger and a prelude to what precedes it on the same side, 'JFK Disco Dub': a megafunk cut to be played at late night hours. The B-side wanders between softer and more elegant sounds. Like ‘Real To Real’ (B1), with that fine and subtle touch of elegance of the North American master; or the B2, ‘Gotta Serve Somebody’, a slow closure, Groovy as hell and a fine line of acid cooked at low revs.

PREMIERE: Sonic Juncture - Can't I Just Be (Alton Miller Remix)

'Closing The Chapter' is the second single announcing drummer and composer Peter Gall’s upcoming album 'Love Avatar', to be released by Compost Records on 27th of September ’24. The nostalgic 'Closing The Chapter' is actually the prototype of a love song and, according to Gall, perhaps the most emotional and personal piece on the album, which he put down on paper at the very last minute. "When I listened to it again alone in the studio late at night, the guys' solos brought tears to my eyes," he says, so moved by his colleagues' interpretations. From Matthias Pichler's lyrical bass solo to Rainer Böhm's masterfully sparkling grand piano, the journey reaches its climax in Wanja Slavin's synth eruption, before the perfect soundtrack for a wanderlust road trip with captivating guitar comping and mantric beat suddenly transforms into an absolute trance state - beautifully colored by Wanja Slavin's live synth jam.

After 'Sentimental' his latest release on Nomada Records the exploration of harmonic dubs and the influence of disco has always been present on Nico's work. He comes now with a release in which repetition comes present in every song in which the song developed throughout without being obvious. Congas, shakers and a common vibrating rhodes fills up the EP named 'Dub Shaker'.

Steam its first track introduces the mood that will be present on the whole EP, making it a soft club song with an on going baseline, finishing with sweet vocals and pulsating horns. Follow up by “Can’t do my thing” a dub track with an on going guitar riff which develops frenzy in the club. And last but not least of the original tracks comes “Reflect' a definitely club track which translates in a fluctuating bass companied by sweet soul vocals and a romanticised rhodes piano. The EP includes an stunning remix by one of Nico's favourites Dicky Trisco, who never disappoints when it comes to baselines & disco. Enjoy Nico Saav's Steam EP.

Después de "Sentimental" su último lanzamiento en Nomada Records la exploración de las dubs armónicas y la influencia de disco siempre ha estado presente en el trabajo de Nico. Él viene ahora con un lanzamiento en el cual la repetición viene presente en cada canción en la cual se desarrolla a través sin ser obvia. Congas, shakers y un rhodes vibrante llena el EP titulado "Dub Shaker".
