We have done it, the well known Berlin club Ritter Butzke is starting its own record label!
First up is longtime resident Mario Aureo and his swiss brother in arms Manuel Moreno, who has found a home as resident of Zurich's legendary Hive Club.
The title track “Autumn Bell” is a sub and lead bass driven Houser, whose emotive pads and hypnotic vocals will stay in your head long after you have left the club.
The dub version of “Autumn Bell” is an altogether more reduced and focussed affair, that relies on the groove but without losing the energy of the original.
The flip side, “Arosis” is a deeper track with string variations and filter progressions but nevertheless a more restrained feel, which makes this track playable at any time, day or night.
Bachstelzen old hand and URSL co-founder Sebo is on remix duty, he’s picking up the theme in a more minimal manner and crafts a sound world of his own, through additional vocals and varied arrangement.
Now that the foundations are laid, watch out for further releases from artists out of the Ritter Butzke sphere.

Es ist geschafft - Der wohlbekannte Berliner Club Ritter Butzke startet sein hauseigenes Plattenlabel!
Den Anfang machen der langjährige Resident Mario Aureo und sein Schweizer Kollege Manuel Moreno, welcher im legendären Hive Club in Zürich sein zu Hause gefunden hat.
Der Titeltrack "Autumn Bell" ist ein durch prägnante Sub- und lange Lead-Bässe getragener House-Track, der vor Allem durch die eingängigen Vocals und seine atmosphärischen Pads, auch noch nach einer langen umtriebigen Clubnacht, im Gedächtnis bleibt.
Die Dub Version von "Autumn Bell" ist dahingehend etwas reduzierter und fokussiert sich auf den Groove, ohne dass dabei die Energie des Originals auf der Strecke bleibt.
Die B-Seite ist mit "Arosis" etwas deeper gehalten und besticht, trotz vieler String-Variationen und Filterverläufen, durch seine unaufgeregte Grundstimmung, die den Track fast zu jeder Tages- und Nachtzeit spielbar macht.
Dazu gesellt sich ein Remix von Bachstelzen-Urgestein und URSL-Mitbegründer Sebo, der das Thema etwas minimalistischer aufgreift und durch zusätzliche Vocals und ein sehr abwechslungsreiches Arrangement eine ganz eigene Sound-Welt, in der man sich wunderbar verlieren kann, erzeugt.
Der Grundstein ist somit gelegt und in den nächsten Monaten werden weitere spannende Veröffentlichungen von Künstlern aus dem Ritter Butzke Umfeld folgen.

The My Favorite Robot label is happy to announce the release of their next full-length album from an artist that has been close to the label for some time. 

The inimitable Tim Paris has had his own unique voice in the underground scene of his hometown in Paris for years, with highly influential labels like Items&Things, Kompakt, Pets Recordings and many others coming calling for his work. Also part of It's A Fine Line with Ivan Smagghe and boss of the Marketing Music label, Paris has proved himself an adept producer of dancefloor tracks in the past (and a highly sought after remixer, reworking artists including Silicone Soul, Tiga, and The xx) but for his hotly anticipated debut LP, he takes it to the next level and crafts a over album full of songs. Dancers features plenty of exciting collaborations with artists from an array of musical backgrounds, including Georg Levin, half of Wahoo with Dixon and a BBE and Sonar Kollektiv associate, Parallel Dance Ensemble's vocalist Coco Solid, Sex Judas – a mysterious but frequent collaborator with Tim, and Ben Shemie from fast rising Canadian band The Suuns as well as Forrest, someone very much about to breakthrough in his own right. Together they have crafted a stand out album that joins the dots between indie dance, post punk, electro and house music.

Captivating opener ‘Golden ratio’ sets the tone for the album with plenty of raw guitar licks and live sounding drums. Levin’s vocals help the track to soar out of its rugged indie framework before ‘Rain’ ups the ante once more with some tobacco stained New Wave influences, dubby pads and and kinetic drum work. It’s an enthralling start to proceedings that takes you many different places and does so in style. The excellent ‘Outback, Stones and Vinyl’ then sets a more downtempo mood helping to ensure there is a coherent narrative throughout. Plenty of analogue machines and real instruments help colour in the slowed track and the result is a slow and mutant indie licked Italo track with a very real hedonistic spirit. Elsewhere tracks like ‘Minreich’ sound like modern Kraut reworks, whilst ‘Extreme Nails’ is a more peak time and progressive number that twists and turns for its duration… wherever you look there are musical gems hidden away, all helping to make this record arresting and rewarding experience. As a listening experience this album is excellent – far more than just a collection of tracks it has suitable peaks and troughs along the way to ensure you really feel like you are going somewhere. Moreover, its not just tempos that change, but style sand genres too, from the indie leaning stuff to the more overtly electronic fair, Dancers is an album that very much sticks to Paris’ own unique and hybridised agenda, excelling as a result.

Revolution is Diplo's follow up to the meme-defining Express Yourself EP. Teaming up with an all new cast of friends including Mike Posner, RiFF RAFF, Travis Porter, Action Bronson and many more , Diplo has produced one of the most cutting edge dance EP's in recent memory. "Biggie Bounce" continues where "Express Yourself" left off, creating a new NOLA bounce anthem with Travis Porter, restating Diplo's claim to the king of twerk. Cititrax is proud to present a full length LP by Brooklyn duo Further Reductions. Shawn O’Sullivan and Katie Rose formed Further Reductions in 2008 as an outlet for their shared passion of electronic dance music. O’Sullivan, known for his recent techno releases as Vapauteen on @L-I-E-S., 400PPM on Avian and Civil Duty (with Beau Wanzer from Streetwalker) on The Corner has been quite active lately blurring the lines between techno and noise music. With Further Reductions, O’Sullivan’s rhythmic sensibility is fused with Rose’s pop leanings to create super lush and atmospheric tracks that work both on and off the dance floor. Informed by the sounds of classic techno and early house, they subtly substitute the structure of functional club music with a more primal absorption based in their unique collaboration. Seductive vocals coupled with organically evolving sequences create a complex narrative that penetrates the subconscious in a way that conventional club music rarely threatens to. Woodwork is an edition of 999 copies pressed on 160 gram clear vinyl with purple and silver splatter, presented in a high gloss printed LP jacket. Sound samples below. Track A1, High End Basics was featured on Veronica Vasicka’s LN-CC mix as well as her visit to Benji B’s BBC Radio 1 show.
