maybe between 10 or 12 years old, it was the first time i understood that the sound i was listening from the radio and the video game could be called music. i tought that maybe this both abstract and physical thing entering trough my ears and my mind could be the reason why we still have a good reason to keep trying to be alive again and again...

Born in Paris, based in Istanbul, music everywhere. From the home made hip-hop/soul mix-tapes of the early days to mixes of dark disco, minimal wave, house and techno today, Jon has curated an insatiable hunger for new sounds throughout the years: a never-ending search beyond musical genres for the tunes that define him. 

In his sets, Jon combines the influence of a distinctive dark cosmic disco/minimal wave French touch with his eclectic musical tastes spanning genres and geographies from afrobeat, Turkish psychedelic rock to techno. After starting his DJ career at the infamous Arm&Sexy Berlin, Jon has been spinning records around the clubs of Istanbul and elsewhere. This has notably led him to play alongside his early influencers Ivan Smagghe, Chloe, and Jennifer Cardini among others.

ITALO MODERNI label was born out of the passion and obsession for 80's Electro/Italo/New beat and new vanguard electronica. It is also a platform that encourages creativity and aims to uplift and inspire djs and diggers to produce eclectic and innovative sets.

The world of music is limitless and we are continually learning from each other by sharing and broadening our horizons.  Through the club scene, we seek to convey that underground and unique sound that electronica has at its best.  Our goal is to awaken the inner soul of that person who is looking for something different, in every sound he hears and makes him believe that there is something beyond the conventional.
