Super Paolo returns to his Disco Milk Records imprint with a funk-infused single entitled ‘5th Day’
with remixes from Quintessentials artist Ponty Mython and Italy’s David Agrella.
Since its formation in 2006, Disco Milk Records has embodied the tradition of producing disco, soul-funk and
afro-cosmic grooves with a modern twist and that’s been solely down to the work of Italy’s Super Paolo – one
half of the music duo Tutto Matto. Paolo Guglielmino aka Super Paolo plays close attention to building tracks
from scratch whilst utilising a handful of live instruments and this is especially prevalent within his ‘5th Day’
single. Ponty Mython jumps on remix duties after releases on Tusk Wax, Beats Delivery, Arma and many
more, in addition to David Agrella aka Agrellomatica – a DJ/producer based in London who’s music has been
championed by the likes of Cassius, Anja Schneider, Hot Since 82, Steve Lawler and Marco Carola.
‘5th Day’ delivers soulful keys, a wonky bass groove and scattered percussion before Russia’s Ponty
Mython’s delicate remix offers funk-infused sound design through winding chord work and chuggy synth
progression. David Agrella’s Re-Work then finishes things off with gracious jazz drums floating around
melodic obscurities and crunchy bass synths.
Super Paolo ‘5th Day’ drops on Disco Milk Records on 7th December 2018.

Vocalist and mult- instrumentalist family theBroomfield's might be new to you but Deepfunk heads know the deal. The six Broomfield siblings (vocalist, Diane and her 5 brothers) released some of the best Rare groove 12s and 45s in the 1980s (Although this 45 was recorded in 1979) as well as recording with Betty Wright, KC and the Sunshine Band, Timmy Thomas, Little Beaver, Julio Iglesias, Michael Sterling and many, many more.

Championed by Keb Darge and others on the Deepfunk scene in the early 2000s, this record has remained agonisingly elusive, despite being very popular as both sides are brilliant. So, with the help of Symphonical records we got in touch with Aaron and made this happen, look out for Aaron's 45 dropping soon as well.

I tag-teamed up again with my brother from another mother @shortybouncesquad for another edition of our "RnB Lounge" mix series. As usual his selection contains tracks which have been released after the year 2000 and I took care of everything before. By the way, please don´t mind the little cracks here and there during my mix -  I was working with, let´s say,  85-90% real vinyl and a few of this records are in "club use" since more than 25 years already.

Biggie was and still is my favourite MC ever and I did this “Best of BIG” mixtape a few years ago already –  to be exact in march 2005.

To be honest – I just did it for myself but after a couple of my close friends asked for a copy… I lost the original master disc and never had a backup of the mix on my hard drive. A few days ago a good friend passed me this link to download a cd-rip of my own mix. Man, I was happy… so my friends at @PeopleLikeUs used this one as a podcast as well.

Well, you won´t find to much cuts & tricks on this one, but a lot of his timeless classics, plus a few dope and rare songs, unreleased interviews and live recordings of the G.O.A.T

Disco Milk Records was founded by Paolo Guglielmino, one half of the legendary music duo Tutto Matto. Following the traditions of music anthems like 'Take My Hand', 'Peace' and 'Hugs and Kisses' Disco Milk continues to produce quality Disco, Soul-Funk, and afro-cosmic grooves with a modern dance approach. The label have received support from the likes of The Black Madonna, Tensnake, Claptone, Severino, Jamie Jones, Mark Farina & more.

Since the beginning of his career, Paolo concentrated on creating tracks from scratch and driven by the fresh approach and sizzling energy from their new productions, Tutto Matto quickly came to the attention of Tim 'Love' Lee's Tummy Touch label, where a shared appreciation of party classics, fun and hedonism led to a prosperous working relationship. Four excellent 12" releases and Tutto Matto's globally acclaimed debut album ‘Funkulo’ followed. Two years of pressure, pleasure and intensive production later, album two 'Hot Spot' did its best to burn up the floors and airwaves.

Today, the idea behind the brand new Disco Milk Records is to keep going with classic old school recording practices, utilising live musicians in the studio to get the best out from the sound of classic vintage synthesisers and new studio recording technology. The recording of one track often requires several stages of production and a significant monetary investment.

Disco Milk have conducted sessions in various studios in order to achieve the best recordings of performances from bassists, pianists, horns, strings sections, percussionists, drummers etc..
