Ice Machine (Lost Tapes)

A kite is a tethered heavier-than-air craft with wing surfaces that react against the air to create lift and drag. A kite consists of wings, tethers and anchors. Kites often have a bridle and tail to guide the face of the kite so the wind can lift it. Kites is also the title of the premiere by Zurich Dada.
The track takes us back to the darkest depths of the retro future from Zurich Dada a Portuguese Synth Pop duo who take inspiration from quantum physics and the multiverse theory as much as they do from Depeche Mode or the Human League the track itself reinvented reworked and reconfigured by Anbau, the Catalan stalwart of Aspecto Humano.
In a kicking rewiring with a gorgeous vocal performance, tough drums, melodic analogue synths in a digital age. This is going to fly.

Brand new collaboration between the Piatto brothers of N.O.I.A. fame and Fred Ventura. A side is a mixture of 80s synthpop and new wave influences but with an ageless dancefloor feel. B side is a classic Italoconnection italo disco hybrid, powerful and destined to the dance floor.

State Of Confusion (Original Extended Version)

Duro ejects into the second part of the year with Berlin-based producer Etcha delivering his sophomore release on the Mexican imprint; an astronomical adventure entitled ‘Confucius Says’. These 2 new exciting original cuts are filled with inter-planetary bleeps and grandiose pads, that along with remixes from Marvin & Guy and Bird Of Paradise make an outstanding pack for the late-night record spinner. Currently at the forefront of a new generation of Berlin producers, Etcha has also appeared on labels such as his own Exoplanets, Voll Schön, and more. 

The trip starts with “Confucius Says”, where a mystical, astral melody synth carries us along with a muffled Italo bass, as if we were traveling across a dense nebulae of sound on board of a retro-futuristic spaceship piloted by small green mysterious creatures on glittering space suits. Bird of Paradise takes this to paranoiac territories: an insistent, rolling bass makes us realise that moment where we have landed in a strange, remote planet, while danger seems just ahead us. 

“Operation Oskar Panizza”, the second original track, prepares us for battle. The snare-propelled-guitars are our weapons against the fatigue derived by a night full of wonders and chuggy basslines. At the end of the expedition, Marvin & Guy brilliantly push us into a new arpeggiated journey, right into the middle of the after-hours galaxy.

MAN2.0- The Illness

Throne Of Blood Records celebrating its thirteen birthday this year,   and for this release they do a warm welcome back to long term friends and partners in musical endeavours TOB.
The EP in question is 'Acia' and features three new tracks from such a stylish and talented person as Timothy Clerkin is, and as ever they are eloquently named and shrouded in mystical magic. 
New York resident, TOB's partner Max Pask, who counts big guns among his fans, takes Clerkin's "Levitate" original and turns it to the powerfull disco weapon, just right what he can know to do best.

This edition of The Bunker Podcast comes from our label artist @leisuremuffin, who has been holding things down in New Orleans for a few years now. It's essentially an all improvised live set!

artist statement: 
"Performed live for the Mystery Zone party at Poor Boys in NOLA. The first 42 minutes of this are completely improvised live, meaning that there were no stored sequences or pre-recorded audio. Just a small 6u eurorack modular, a DSI Tempest with a couple kits to choose from, and an iPad to handle sync, simple looping, and mixing. I've been playing all of my free form sets like this (minus the Tempest) for a while now, but I hadn't played for an actual dance floor in probably more than a year. I had just flown back from New York where I played one of those free sets at Wonderville in Brooklyn (go check it out on my bandcamp!), and had about 3 days to get this together. I had cheerfully assumed that I could just toss the Tempest in there, crank it up, and practice for a few days, but that wasn't the case. It took me the whole 3 days to sort out how to technically integrate the Tempest into the iPad setup so I got maybe an hour of practice with everything working on the day of the event. I showed up at the event more nervous than I've ever been at a gig, but somehow managed to reasonably pull it off. I did eventually chicken out and play some sequences I had in the Tempest from ages ago. Those start at around the 42 min mark."

Half of the dark synthwave duo THE HUNT ,Herbert West is a French electronic producer heavily influenced by 70’s and 80’s horror soundtracks. This artist tends to use vintage, analog and modular synths and It´s important to point out that he has released with the Hunt two albums through the well-known labels Giallo Disco (2014) and Bordello a Parigi (2018).
Vortice Mortale is his new project in which he mixes space disco and dark synth music.It is clear as water that Herbert West loves Italian horror movies and French disco music of the past decade considering that this work “Memento Mori” is perhaps a perfect combination of powerful beats, enigmatic passages and wicked catchy melodies.

We are back! After almost 2 years since the release of our album “Metropoli”, we decided to release a one off vinyl I2” single that maybe will be part, maybe not, of our future album scheduled for 2O2O on Bordello A Parigi records. After playing live all around Europe and meeting our fantastic audience, we thought it was right to go back to our Italo roots in full effect. “Now Or Never” is an energic and dirty Italo club track going straight to the dance floor, no compromise! On the b-side you’ll find our rendition of the legendary track “(Do You Have) The Force” by the great French project The Droids that we’ve been playing already since a couple of years. Mastering was done by the mighty Alden Tyrell, background vocals by our dreamy collaborator Francesca Gastaldi and graphic design by MILKPLUS.

B1 - Italoconnection - (Do You Have) The Force - SNIPPET

After the sold-out first edition of Correcciones, Mexican label Calypso returns with Volume 2 of the series, unveiling four strong contenders for Edit of the Year. Starting things off, Calypso co-label boss Thomass Jackson has his way with a weirdo Polish jazz/fusion/funk track that keeps turning left while continually finding the right direction. 
Russian label regulars Simple Symmetry join forces with co-label boss INigo Vontier to deliver a "monster peak-time mantra" that's as perfect for morning rites as it is for nocturnal adventures. 
On the B-side, New York's Facets slows down the tempo of an old goa gem - the result has already gotten support from the likes of Intergalactic Gary, Alexis Le Tan and many others.
Volume 2 closes out in the hands of Italian dandys Marvin & Guy, who offer a magnificent take on a forgotten disco classic. 
Timeless edits indeed.
