This was my Saturday sunset set (18:00-20:00) from La Divina stage at Lusatia Festival in August.

Listening back, I think it's a nice representation of a lot of my sets this summer. Starting out in mid-tempo new wave sounds at 124bpm, moving through some dreamy progressive house and speeding up into to faster, high energy 90s house.

The final track is an air-cleanser to reset the mood before the next DJ: my favourite piece of 80s Japanese dreamy pop by Tatsuro Yamashita.

F R A N K A [@franka_ogs, Berlin | GER] is a queer German DJ currently based in Berlin. She usually plays a juicy mix of House and Disco and played this year mostly in Berlin, some more known venues are Sisyphos Wintergarten or Kater Blau. She’s part of her hometown collective @ogeso and the newest member of @unseenberlin, which is a FLINTA orientated collective which regularly hosts parties and workshops in Berlin. Back in 2020 she was taught how to play vinyls in an old DDR Banana bunker in her hometown deep down in the countryside of Mecklenburg and hasn’t stopped ever since. Her passion for vinyls grew and she loves discovering new record stores all around the world.

Disco Sour, founded back then as a counterpart to the minimal electronic music scene, started as a Disco project and evolved into a powerhouse of sonic ecstasy. Fuelled by the pulsating beats of the global groove and house scene, their sets are electrifying, promising a kaleidoscope of danceable rhythms.

In addition to their first release, which will be out soon in digital format, they have often had the chance to prove their skills alongside other big DJs at events throughout the Rhine-Main area. On top, they recently became part of the Tanz In Frankfurt booking agency.

After 4 years of digital DJing, I was looking for a new challenge. Three months ago I started playing records at home and I just love it. I recorded my first time vinyl only at BLOK, Nürnberg.

Of course, not everything went as smoothly as the records are during those 5 hours, but I'm still more than satisfied and the crowd on site has boosted me. 🤍

This year she will celebrate her debut at Renate and at Fusion, playing at Seebühne no less.
