After a failed attempt at an ultra shortcut, Funky got separated throughout dimensions and found himself outside of map geometry, tumbling aimlessly until he ended up in Mad At Mii's game. In fact, he wasn't even on the intended roster, but Mad At Mii could simply not pass this opportunity up. Representing Mario Kart Wii, Funky's ready to show everyone who's really S tier in his New Funky Mode!

He's no stranger to competition with a successful Super Bowl win under his belt! He's surely a widespread name here on Earth, but what many people don't realize is that his name spreads out into the stars as well. This sportscaster has spent a lot of time on Moonbase Alpha, and uses his extreme wealth to fund the site. He thought that this competition would take place in space as well, thinking the flight referred to a rocket of some sorts. Albeit disappointed, John Madden said he'd take it upon himself to not only bring sports with him to the tournament, but bring space to else with technology borrowed from Moonbase Alpha!
