We’re pleased to welcome Nottingham based Ed:it for his first appearance on Dispatch Recordings, with a confident four track debut release, entitled the ‘Telling True EP’.

Having rapidly amassed support throughout the scene, Ed:it has seen singles drop on Shogun, C.I.A. and Commercial Suicide; given his sheer diversity in style and an inherent ability to translate his passion for this music into every track, it’s easy to see why. 

With an astute use of samples and grasp of the technology at hand, Ed:it strives to retain every emotion initially felt into the final product, made specifically with soul in mind and consequently, finding a seamless balance between melody and tenacity. 

Whilst title track ‘Telling True’ displays a medley of instrumental influences, from melancholic sax echoes to atmospheric chords, things take a darker, more rolling turn with ‘Dub Light’, equipped with a groove infused bassline that attacks, infectiously.

Bredren have been steadily carving out their own niche for several years now, to ever more acclaim. Last year they started their own Bredren Invites night at the legendary Fuse club in Brussels, their home stomping grounds, to showcase their style alongside likeminded spirits such as SpectraSoul, S.P.Y., Alix Perez and Skeptical.

Rampage invited them to bring the concept to the stage of the biggest drum&bass and dubstep party in the world, and bring a few of their resident dj’s along for the ride. To celebrate this appearance, they put together an EP with all the dj’s that joined them; Phase, MC Mota, One87, M-zine and Scepticz: four excursions into the deep end of the drum&bass spectrum.
