This could be considered an exact body-reflection of Elenas soundscape: dark and minimal, danceable yet broken, maximal and strong-focused at the same time. With 17 years experience as a DJ, she creates her very own mixture of electronic music in club sets with a constant development. For nothing less stands 'Discos Atonicos' (@discosatonicos), her 2017 founded label.

We are proud to announce the 22nd edition of our DECENNIUM series, which comes courtesy of a bright light in the world of Electronic Music; Alienata (Discos Atónicos, Cultivated Electronics, KILLEKILL).

Spanish-born, Berlin-based Alienata is a self-described sound obsessive whose sets span obscure Electro, Acid, Dub, IDM, dark Disco, hypnotic Techno, Industrial, Atmospheric, Breaks, cosmic Jazz, Detroit, Chicago and more. A former philosophy student with a particular interest in mysticism, Alienata began DJing in 2004. In conjunction with Valencia's Overflow Collective, she not only served as a resident DJ but also participated in theatre and music technology workshops and oversaw it's label operations. Her earliest contact with Germany's music scene came through Leipzig's Homoelektrik collective, and upon moving to Berlin in 2011, she quickly found an adoptive family in the KILLEKILL label and associated Krake Festival. This relationship helped make her a respected mainstay in clubs in Berlin, around Germany and Europe, but her international profile has been steadily increasing each year: NYC, Chicago, Sydney, Melbourne, Bogotá, Moscow, etc. It is no surprise that legends such as Dave Clarke (who recently played a B2B with her at ADE), DJ Stingray, Ben Sims and Ron Morelli, have all expressed their support and respect for her.

With all her knowledge and a true love for music she decided to start her own imprint “Discos Atónicos” in 2017 where she can materialise all her varied influences, releasing legendary artists such as Beta Evers, Dez Williams, Artificiero, BS-1 and Cosmic Force. As well as self-releasing her own music, Alienata has released records and remixes with other reputable labels such as Cultivated Electronics, and featured on compilations such as Ben Sims' 'Tribology', featuring alongside the likes of James Ruskin, Mark Broom, Robert Hood, etc. 

It is an honour to have Alienata feature on our DECENNIUM series with this discerning, forward thinking set, recorded exclusively for Natural Selection.
