Disco Segreta prepares for summer with a true italo-disco obscure bomb !
Margherita Ton was the moniker used by musician and composer Rita Sementilli for this one-off 45 single, originally released in 1987 on the italian private label New York Studio, in an edition of just 100 copies, as a birthday gift from her husband.

Margherita was infact the very talented wife of Angelo De Luca, a well known pop producer also dear to italo collectors, being the man behind projects such as Fabbrica di Stelle, Bobby J, Fabrithia, Roberto Onofri, Avenue.

Both “La Prima Notte d’Estate” (The first summer night) and “Dammi Tanto Amore” (Just give me love) have become among the connoisseurs instant staples of synth-driven italo perfection thanks to the airy, charming voice of Margherita, singing over summer-melancholic lyrics in italian. 
Possibly among the rarest italo disco records ever released, we are bringing you the chance to own this holy-grail, in a lush respectfully remastered edition, 35 years after its original release, as a hommage from us to her family and the memory of Rita Sementilli. 

This 12” will be similarly released in a strictly limited edition of 100 hand-numbered copies on 180gr. yellow vinyl with lyrics insert, exclusively available for purchase on our website and Bandcamp.

Born and raised by CBS/IntergalacticFM's database, LeonxLeon started his machine with several various on Red Laser Record (UK) from 2013 mixing acid, italo and disco influences, to later in 2015 release his own take of "Funk Makossa" on Cerrone's new EP. Playing live sets and DJing all around Paris & Europe with the infamous Les Yeux Orange crew, he released EP's on Mancunian inprint "Red Laser Disco" and Parisian label "Cracki records" in 2019 with "Rokanbo", dancefloor melting Acid-Zouk mixture.
In 2022 be ready for his new EP on Cracki Records, blending even more genres and sounds.

For our fourteenth release we head to Barcelona and welcome an institution of the city's fast moving electronic scene. Pau Roca has an adaptable attitude to music; deftly turning his hand to house, disco, boogie and electronic elements in a 15 year career that has seen him perform all over Europe. The SS20 EP comprises three original tracks that take influence from deep house, acid, breaks and chilled moments. Mostly known for his works with the Ears on Earth label and BF Treatment duo, JAI does what he usually does best on his edit of Magic Fly; Mixing up ravey 90’s sounds with a modern twist. Lau Tropico then proceeds with his take on Djulu, that eases us for the heavier load coming in later. Aaron Maple do his usual magic that we’ve all been accustomed to with his edit of This Is A Sound. A sure-fire party starter that’ll make even the most modest guest make this feet do a 1-2 step. Ramin and Reda continues on, where Aaron left us, with their heavily middle-eastern inspired Dehati and guides us for our final number by the man behind the operation; Miro-Benji. The release ends with, in his own words, an “anti-edit” of Love Will Tear Us Apart. One of those tracks that is perfect as an ender but still leaves the listener urging for more.

"Carlo Simula is an italian DJ and digger, producer, label manager and author for the much-revered Overfitting Disco blog, focusing on all things disco, especially weird and wonderful european and worldwide obscurities.

It is fair to say that Carlo is one of the most knowledgeable people on the planet when it comes to Italian disco records from the 70s and 80s. 
2015 saw him officially reissue a cult 1981 7" record - Andromeda by Andromeda - on a 12" numbered vinyl including his respectful extended edit, as well as a remix by italian pioneer dj Beppe Loda, that marked the first release on his own “Disco Segreta” imprint. 

From there a string of top notch quality releases, such as Gino Pavan, Susana Estrada, those by Miro (Brina - Stranamore and Pat&Pats - Tobago) to the ones lined up in the future, the label has now become a quality guarantee among DJs and collectors of previously undetected, yet very danceable, 70s Italian and European disco music and 80s italo-disco.

Lover of fine sleaze, off-key singing, flanged drums, vocoders, drilling synth lines and - in general - anything that failed the charts, Carlo's selection often touches assorted Italian weirdos, as well as French, German, Spanish and other countries' disco music, all played on vinyl only, for the real deal experience, careless of any fashion."
