Judy is a young basque artist from Bilbao with a deep interest in musical improvisation and experimental creation processes. His research around non-conventional sounds  gradually developed into a dawless live performance that plays with the hypnotic, minimalistic and layered soundscapes of pure techno.

MMOTTORR is a new collaborative project between Tr One and New Jackson and the 1st EP marks an exciting fusion of both artists' sounds combined with a fresh take on machine music, blending influences from Chicago and ghetto house, deeper acid textures, techno and use of classic samplers and voice modulation to create 4 dancefloor orientated tracks.

EP 1 features four tracks from the Irish artists that push the boundaries of hardware based production, offering a captivating exploration of sound and influences from both artists. Distribution by DBH.

Firn - LRC004 [Out 01-05-2025] (Preview)

After a strong first release on Fuse Imprint with ‘The Wall’, resident Phara returns to his home base for a mirage of introspective tracks. Furthering his research of emotive club music, ‘Soft Glow, Fierce Light’ seems more than appropriately named. Shimmering melodies, swinging rhythms, and a comforting ambiance, Phara proves that his constantly evolving musical persona and relationship with the Brussels club are built to last.
 
Beginning with ‘Unfold’, the Belgium-native sets the board with a warm introduction. Reminiscent of his recent endeavor as In Glass, a balance is struck between the slower tempo techno of his secondary alias and the higher club energy that he’s been known to bring as Phara. Steady at first, filters open wide half way through the track to ensure maximum euphoria off or on the dance floor. ‘Flow’ follows in suit and here the producer keeps the level constant and tense with intricate melodic design. A steady groove with blossoming synth lines make ‘Flow’ a beauty to witness unravel. Warm chord stabs make for a nostalgic EP and shows once more that the seasoned producer frequently enjoys prioritizing emotion over drive. Flipping the vinyl to the other side, ‘Wave to Wave’ points a finger to all things dub, even a discrete appreciation of house music, through the harmony of his keys to the sound design of his square bass, and its common borders with techno. Juggling in snare rolls and rides throughout, Phara sets the tone with a soothing piece of work for lovers of the eyes-closed genre. To conclude, ’Solitude’ brings a polished vintage effect to the project that ‘Wave to Wave’ introduced, this time with heightened intensity worthy of a set closer. Punchy stabs make this a particularly extraverted track, fitting into almost any record bag - Room 01 or Motion Room friendly. Thundering claps over an electric melody, these kinds of tracks aren’t new to Phara. Pouring soul into his tracks, Phara proves once again to be a truly central artist in developing the Fuse sound and continuing his stylistic journey.

Throughout 2025, Tresor Records will reactivate Detroit house and techno originator Blake Baxter's vast Tresor catalogue digitally in chronological order, starting with 1992's Dream Sequence, closely followed by his 1995 album, Endless Reflection. 
To inaugurate and celebrate this retrospective of one the genre's true founders, an artist whose connections to Tresor go back to the very beginning, the label announces a special 12" release, Dream Sequence X, featuring remastered tracks from the early days and highlighting the harder side of his output.

Initially inspired by post-punk and funk, Baxter started making music as early as 1985. By 1991 he had already released several seminal records on classic labels like Underground Resistance, KMS, and Incognito, as well as providing multiple tracks to the groundbreaking UK compilation Techno! The New Dance Sound of Detroit, which was many European listeners' introduction to the genre, solidifying the term techno, and launching the international careers of many of the contributors.

1992 saw Baxter make the first trip to play Tresor, on the first UR Europe tour ever, thereby pioneering the now legendary Berlin-Detroit Connection. This visit led to a long and fruitful partnership with the club's new-fledged label beginning with Mills', Banks' & Hood's X-101 and Baxter's Dream Sequence, from which the first four tracks on the new 12" come.

Whilst he would become more renowned for his signature seductive vocals and a smoother music style closer to house music, these early tracks are heavier, classic 90s techno, revealing the influence of industrial, post-punk and pop of the time. 
Indeed the collection is something of a time capsule: jacking 909 drums, intense, ravey synth stabs, samples from classic soul breakbeat and the Speak & Spell voice synthesizer; classic sounds and styles of the era all make appearances on the record.
All tracks have been remastered by Manmade Mastering breathing a new vitality and sharpness for the modern dancefloor.

In a world where longevity is difficult and superlatives are too easily deployed, it is still difficult to overstate the long-lasting influence that Blake Baxter has had on modern music. His visionary output can be heard across modern electronic and pop to this day and with this series of remasters, there has never been a better time for the world to hear it at source.

The #56 episode of the Schimmer podcast series was mixed by Annie Lew – an emerging producer and DJ in techno’s next generation of artists, crafting a soundscape where perpetual, primal rhythms collide with extraterrestrial atmospheres. With a style rooted in thunderous, tribal percussion and elevated by celestial synthwork, Annie’s sonic identity is transcendent.

From the coastline of New England, Annie etched her name into the scene after joining Infra Boston in 2022 — a forward-thinking techno collective paving the city's evolving electronic landscape. Her sets are immersive rituals: genre-blurring journeys that retain the pulse of techno while weaving in unexpected textures.

She’s made waves in the Northeast scene, with standout performances in Boston and New York at Basement, Paragon, and Boiler Room for example, as well as an upcoming debut at Wire Festival. Her intuitive connection with her audience creates a shared experience that feels both intimate and expansive.

Schimmer Podcast #056 with Annie Lew

@ciscoadvent a.k.a. Cisco Ferreira has a firm footing in quality techno DJs’ bags - as well as in dance music history - and today we announce a special treat for the heads: Paraíso is releasing three never before heard tracks, rescued from a DAT lost sometime in the 90s. Titled ‘Passado Distante’ - you probably guessed it, it means Distant Past - we’re talking about a trio of no-frills yet creative and highly energetic technoid ammunition. Classics that never were but now are given a new chance to grace our dancefloors.

Opening this record, ‘Driven’ gifts our ears with syncopated claps and percussion while relentless rushes of hi hats and snares create a steady rhythmic core, creating a funky as hell piece that has the original spirit of techno inscribed in it.

Things remain fast-paced and to the bone in the following track ‘Circulate’, a rolling bassline supporting snare rolls and a cheeky, minimalistic bleep reminiscent of sci-fi worlds. Dense yet concise, like techno bangers ought to.

Closing this triad is the irresistibly rhythmic ‘Tres Trax’, a geeky but powerful closing act that shows Cisco’s early wide-eyed aura, blending complex percussion and a bassline so soaked in swing it will have your hips drawing rave sigils as they naturally learn the groove. Dubby details add mystery to this incredibly imaginative Detroit-tinged wonky banger. Cisco did it again.
