We proudly present guest mix no. 90 which has been cooked by none other than Black Light Smoke - the electronic music moniker of Chicago born Jordan Lieb - producer, songwriter, and daytime Emmy Award winning film and tv composer.

Black Light Smoke first lit up the dance music scene in 2010 with his EPs “Lovework” and “Switch Back”, which were spurred on by a remix from DJ T and a spot on Andrew Weatherall’s Masterpiece. 

In 2020 Black Light Smoke launched his own imprint, Death Decay Magic, a platform for dark techno, EBM, post-punk and wave genres with tracks from The Hacker, Cardopusher, Dina Summer, Filmmaker, himself and many others, Death Decay Magic has received praise and support from the likes of DJ Hell, Laurent Garnier, Green Velvet, Jennifer Cardini, Silent Servant, Bloody Mary and more.

Frankfurt based DJ, producer, curator and event manager Shia LaBiff, known amongst his peers as Michèl Dion Baltin, has a huge repertoire of music and influences which he is constantly sharing for more than 20 years. Starting in early age with Indie, Post Punk and New Wave he soon discovered the joy of electronic club music and started following the path of New Order, Primal Scream and Andrew Weatherall into a new beat driven world. You will hear shades of Italo and Electronic Body Music, New Beat, Acid House, Techno and New/Cold/Synthwave in his mixtapes or DJ sets. His event and guest mix series Blank Wave is providing artists like Perel, Lauer, Shubostar, Que Sakamoto, Rotciv, Moderna and Skelesys – just to name a few. As the co-founder of the label @meteors_recordings and the @punk_issues parties, as well as the head of the booking agency You Should Be Dancing, cfds has established herself as a quiet force in the underground music scene. Her sound navigates a dynamic blend of Dark Disco, Electro, EBM, Breaks, Coldwave, New Wave, and Techno, crafting a narrative that transcends genres. Her sets are defined by a distinct emphasis on rock-infused sounds, adding a rebellious, seductive, and raw edge to her electronic tapestry.
