A song that was inspired to Orson Wald when he was living in a remote area, far away in the wild countryside between a river and a cliff covered with a forest, and one day when woke up he noticed that all the opposite bank of the river had disappeared, like stumbled into a void.

Haulover Road

The wish to escape far far away to be alone and happy. Dedicated to all the ASD people and all the people who don't feel comfortable in our society, as well as all the people who enjoy wild nature and beautiful magical landscapes.

Distant Zone

A song about an empty city... The idea came during the covid lockdown, and merged with memories of desparation when Orson Wald was working in office skyscrapers in the business area of "La Défense" in Paris a long time ago. There's a political underdertone, for the most futuristic music of Villa Vide to this day.

Villa Vide is Orson Wald's enigmatic coldwave project. An all time new-wave adept, he played his first gigs in a band relying on a smoke machine so much that they would usually totally disappear from stage. Evanescence, fascination, mystery, fleeting reminiscences, spleen, desolation, anger, depression, disappearance, empty minimal architecture... all of this infuses his music and lyrics.
