That’s Pajo Do to his mates A wee Derry whippet with a bag full of bangers and a cheeky grin big enough to light up the Bogside. outstanding in his field he is Known for his top-shelf hosting duties with the award winning Spin City radio show (always cracking guests and pals dropping in for the flights of fancy. He’s a regular round the Derry haunts with many years he knows the score and the scene shouts to the the Derry Collective Crew keeping him on his toes he got the right ideas for a session — and tonight, he’s bringing that same calibre of sound to us: 2 hours too pluck the Hairy Banjo Strings, and drop the kind of tunes that’ll have ye shakin’ hips and Swinging Yer Pants like nobody’s business. between gig and live sets is where the real magic sparks: digs with attitude, old energy blended with new, throwbacks that’ll school ye, and promos fresh out the box. It’s WEEK 22 of The Disco Waltons Mix Sessions – and this week we’ve only gone and landed the bezzer himself Fingerman (aka Gregg Holmes)!
Hailing from Portsmouth, via Brighton and now firmly holding court in Belfast, Gregg’s a certified disco don. He’s the daddy behind Hot Digits Music (and vinyl offshoot Wax Digits) — a label responsible for more dancefloor weapons than your local dodgy Firestick dealer. Since the early days, he’s been chopping, looping, and reworking tunes with that signature touch — and his edits have been championed by the best in the biz.
Gregg’s a hardworking, top-shelf editor, producer, label boss, radio host, and all-round top geezer. Two hours is nowhere near enough — but it’s just the right amount of time for Fingerman to take us on a proper journey. Expect chunky mid-tempo rollers, slick reworks, nu-disco stompers, and groove-heavy edits that sneak up on you — BOOM — those classic tones that give you that nostalgic tickle right up the nostrils.

This EP is a reimagining of Montana – A Dance Fantasy Inspired by Close Encounters of the Third Kind, a little-known yet captivating gem from the golden age of Philly Soul and orchestral disco. The original, crafted by Vince Montana, unfolds as a lush sonic journey inspired by Spielberg’s film — full of shifting passages, radiant strings, vibraphones, and bongos that blend into a smooth, sophisticated groove.

This new version carefully selects and reshapes the album’s most melodic and hypnotic moments, presenting them as an extended disco edit designed for the dance floor. Without losing Montana’s cinematic charm or soulful depth, it offers a more fluid, sustained, and mellow interpretation — where orchestral magic meets cosmic rhythm.

A tribute to an underrated classic, revived for a dance floor that never truly sleeps.

We are a collective of passionate DJs, Producers and devoted Disco Fans from across the globe, who came together during lockdown through our shared love of all things Disco, House, Funk, Soul and more.

In addition to the vast array of tracks, labels, events, DJ sets, radio shows, and blogs produced by our gifted family members, we also run our own special weekly show. For nearly 3 years, the Disco Waltons Sunday Service has been going out every Sunday 9-11pm (UK time) on NDC Radio. Each week a member of our fam hosts the show and invites an incredible guest to join them. We now have over 100 shows under our belt, with mixes from wonderful guests including heavyweights such as Greg Wilson, Michael Gray, Moplen, Derrick McKenzie, plus many emerging DJs and producers.
