Discobolous is a passionate DJ, sound engineer, and visual artist whose career began in the early ’90s at a radio station in Athens, where his love for vinyl and sound first took root. With a background in live sound engineering and film, he spent years honing his skills in sound design, music production, and video editing, bringing a multidisciplinary approach to his creative work.

Deeply connected to the underground party scene, Discobolous has played a key role in creating independent venues and events with friends, drawn to the raw energy of warehouse parties and sophisticated bar settings alike. Today, he records around 90 DJ sets a year, blending fresh releases from across the genres he loves, and regularly performs at intimate bar and restaurant residencies, spreading positive, uplifting vibes.

While his track production has so far remained digital, Discobolous is currently developing his sound with analog synths at home, with plans to take his live performances to the stage when the moment is right. His journey reflects a lifelong dedication to sound, community, and the art of creating unforgettable musical experiences.

Horsebox resident Plastic Royale (aka Tompa Minas) took the reins this week, broadcasting live from his studio in Sweden. He kicked things off with some of the funkiest disco grooves to ever hit the digital airwaves, gradually building into an uplifting house vibe by the end of his hour.

The second half of the show featured Dutch legend Lenzz, a gifted DJ from Rotterdam, passionate record collector, and fellow radio show host. His own show, Lenzzie’s New Grooves, airs every Monday from 7pm to 9pm UK time on NDC Radio.

Lenzz delivered an eclectic set packed with jazzy, funky, tribal, and housey vibes—taking us on a rich and rhythmic musical journey.

Ep04 - Paul C - The Disco Waltons Mix Sessions. (1st Jun25)

Soul Clap’s blissful production ‘Misty’ gets the love it deserves in a new lease of life on Classic Music Company. The Boston-based duo bring all the soulful funk with velvety vocals by celebrated Chicago house singer Robert Owen. In their Club Mix, the record gets stripped down, laden with cool percussion and infused with a groovy bassline alongside a smoother Deep Mix.

Hammer and Tongs production duo, also known as Lance Desardi and Luke Solomon, work up a slightly heavier production and edit to freshen up the original. Frenchman DJ Rocco showcases his take on the deep house sound in his rendition and Rogue D stays true to his trademark raw sound with an upfront bassline. The legendary Louie Vega inflicts a stomping bassline for dancefloor deepness in his Swirl Bass Mix while his Roots NYC Mix delivers a more sensual mid-tempo sound. Another special release from Soul Clap and a pre-cursor to their forthcoming original EP for Classic - look out folks.

For nearly 3 years, the Disco Waltons Sunday Service has been going out every Sunday 9-11pm (UK time) on NDC Radio.
