I know how challenging it can be to feature the vast history of styles from The United Kingdom, but I've never been interested in completeness or historical accuracy.

CIRCUITS – Part Five: Empire's Choons

Techno-Dj and Producer based in Germany.

As a Dj I play diverse and energetic sets that can move between 130 to 160 bpm depending on the atmosphere. I try to hit the sweet spot between deep/hypnotic and ecstatic, groovy and straight, coldness and warmth, artistic aspirations and straight up fun. 

My own tracks tend to be either on the more bouncy side of things or straight up trance, the latter is probably due to my love for old noom-records stuff.

Discrete Circuit has made a significant impact in Berlin's electronic music scene as a promoter, producer, DJ, and label owner. With releases on labels such as DVS1's Mistress Recordings, Delsin, and Darko Esser's Wolfskuil, he established his own imprint ASTRAY, to showcase and explore his techno sound. Shaped by the creative vibrancy of Berlin, the soul of Detroit, and UK's dark aesthetics, he draws inspiration to keep forging his sonic identity.

Dan is originally from Stafford UK but he is now living in London UK, he has been Dj’ing since 2002, he started with playing a mixture of dance music from hard house to trance and then into house music, from around 2004 he found techno which took him on a journey for many years, now he uses influences from all the styles he's played. He is a huge fan of Disco, his friends have even nicknamed him DISCO DAN due to this, in his DJ sets you can definitely tell that disco has a big part of his life. 

Dan doesn't class himself as a "house DJ" or "techno DJ" he is just a DJ who likes to play music with influences from house, techno, and disco 

Dan has had the fortunate opportunity to play along side some big artist, with the likes of Reset Robot, Alan Fitzpatrick, Max Cooper to name a few.
