Murder rap: An M-Town tradition? These 16 funkytown underground joints focus on homicide.  Silver tones, smelly corpses, getaway cars, poison: these artist paint a picture of ghetto Memphis that's threatening and detailed. Sadistic psychos who murder for laughs and nameless killers who fear the judgement of god.  Ill haunted house beats... a brutally dark and disturbing vibe that's distinctive of Memphis rap from the 1990s. Thanks to everyone uploading tape rips. In combination with a heavy sprinkling of gunshot samples, the tape pops add to the crunchy, sinister sound.
