During my career I always took requests. That doesn't necessarily mean I "played" the requests though ;)
In the case of this song, here is how the typical request went:

Girl (it was ALWAYS a girl) - "Could you play that Madonna song?"
Me - "Which Madonna Song?"
Girl - " Baby Love"
Me - "Oh, you mean the Regina song Baby Love"
Girl - "NO I don't like that one"
Me - "Well its the only one there is, unless you want me to play Baby Talk by Alisha?"
Girl - "No, I want the Madonna song. C'mon you play it all the time"
Me - "I actually play both, but its the Regina song you're talking about"
Girl - "No way?!?!"
Me - "Yes...WAY!!"
