Music has been my lifeblood since an early age. I was nurtured on my parents’ record collection: Motown, the Beatles, the Stones and Blondie. I remember I used to make my own ‘mixtapes’ when I was 7 years old by recording segments of songs off Radio 1, trying to know the right place to start and stop the record button. After early teens plugged into indie and new wave bands, it was when in 1991, at the age of 16, some friends took me to my first rave - Eclipse in Cambridge - that started a whole new obsession with a totally different kind of music.#

A lot has been said about that time, but rave and acid house was an extraordinary blending and mingling of Britain’s youth at that time.There were massive highs (and lows) and some crazy memories – convoys of vehicles scouring the countryside for a field, warehouse or barn to dance allnight long to a type of music which defied genre or description and which was really like nothing that had ever come before. It's funny to think that the weird brand of music played at underground clubs and raves in the late eighties / early nineties is now a huge, global behemoth, played in every corner of the globe. 
I started DJing with belt drive turntables when I was 17 with 5 records in my bedroom, one mate was the MC and another mate was ‘the crowd’! I’ve been hooked on buying records ever since. I started out playing hardcore breakbeat but soon moved to deep techno and house inspired by favourite DJs back in 1991/1992 – Eddie Richards, Mr C, Matthew Bushwacka! B and the like. At the age of 19 I went to university in Nottingham and got involved with the free party scene being championed by sound systems, such as DIY, Smokescreen, Quadrant, Babble, etc. I loved a lot of the parties they did – friendly, free and with great music. 

In the late 1990s I was living in London and got into the tech house sound that exploded in London and then beyond in subsequent years. Underground parties like Wiggle  and Clubs like The End  and Fabric with DJs / producers like Layo and Bushwacka, Mr C, Nathan Coles, Terry Francis, Eddie Richards, etc  were creating, mixing and broadcasting an underground sound that was both funky but tough at the sane time and went on to have a huge influence on today's house music. 

Those were the days when people were making tunes in a small studio and then getting the tunes pressed and sold in London record shops like Swag, Tag, Fat Cat, etc. It was a wonderful buzz being in thse places because everyone congregated here - it was part of the scene. I remember Roger Sanchez and me both nodding on to a tune - Primitive Urges 3 - and then me getting the last copy as I'd been first to say I wanted it. Of course he was cool with it.


I ran my own night sporadically for 2 years at a converted pub called the Plug in Stockwell, South London, before it was closed down. They were great days – always with a crazy, up for it crowd. DJs such as Inland Knights, Paul Arnold (Chew the Fat!), Asad Rizvi (Asadinho) and Matt Powell (Bleep District) all rocked it down there.

My clubbing days are long gone but I'm still DJing as much as ever. I still ove the deeper, darker, more unusual side to house music and creating mixes which is a 1 hour journey or song that should be an uninterrupted physical but also heady experience for the listener. The sounds I go for are often smaller, subtle sounds. I like to keep it interesting, but always dancefloor friendly. You listen and decide for yourself. 

I use Technics 1210s and Allen & Heath Xone 23 Mixer.

A part of the House of Aviance since 1989, One A, also known as Gehno Aviance started DJing in 1992. He got his start playing at legendary east coast parties and raves such as Ultraworld (BALT) and Buzz (DC). In the early 90's he joined the Snowball Collective from NYC and DC and went on to throw some of the most-talked (to this day) underground and weekly parties in Washington DC. In 1998 he moved to San Francisco where he has continued to dj and hone his talent to this day. His sound is an amalgam of 22+ years of musical influences which has been described as Deep Garage Tech. His sets incorporate Deep Tech, Garage, Breaks and Techno into a seamless musical journey deep rooted in the past whist always keeping his finger on the pulse of the future.

Aviance Records LLC is a multi-genre label spanning from House and Dance Music to R&B. Through this label we represent up and coming and established artists distributing their music in the U.S. and Internationally.

David Ohana Aviance studied Music at the Rubin Academy of Music in Israel and came to New York as a young musician. For several years he was performing in R&B bands playing guitar, songwriting and recording with various artist. His shift towards Dance Music started in the early 90’s when he discovered the Sound Factory on 27th Street NYC with the Legendary Junior Vasquez at the helm. David learned the new technology and started building up his vinyl collection and then went on to do remixes such as Inaya Day’s “Can’t Stop Dancing” (#1 on Billboard Dance charts) and Jody Watley’s “Don’t You Want Me”. During that time he also started DJing at various venues in NYC and has been on top of his game since.

David’s relation to The House of Aviance has been for 20 years plus. After many conversations with Mother Juan Aviance he officially became an Aviance member and in March 2014 they became business partners and Aviance Records, LLC was born. The label concept is a multi-genre artist enterprise and record label spanning House Music, R&B, and many shades of the rhythmic Dance Music scene. Since The House of Aviance has been at the forefront of nightlife and the Dance Music Industry for 25 years it’s only a matter of time before Aviance Records becomes a household name.

Mother Juan Aviance is a secretary by trade and the proud owner of the infamous, trademarked House of Aviance®. Juan Aviance, or as legions around the world call him Mother Juan Aviance, has come a long way from his humble beginnings. Born in 1963 in Charleston, South Carolina then growing up in Boston, MA where he always found himself gravitated to the Performing Arts. Whether it was singing or directing shows it was were he excelled and was the most comfortable.

In 1989 (Washington, DC) Juan started his own House and 25 years later House of Aviance is still a fixture in Nightlife in NYC and several other cities across the U.S. and abroad.  HOA has been a force to be reckoned with for two decades and is best known for their Dj’s, producers, singers, performance artists and unique fashion sense. With 700 members strong House members are always performing or hosting parties at various venues or sponsoring charity events. In March 2014 Aviance Records was launched and soon after they release the debut single ‘Avi’ously Aviance” featuring Ej Aviance, Kevin Aviance, Perry Aviance and of course the Matriarch himself. Dj's, Producers and label owners, JONNO &amp; TOMMO hail from London's Deep House music scene. JONNO, originally from Nottingham and a DJ involved with the Smokescreen 'free party' scene, is now head honcho of Rival Recordings UK and has also released under the guise of Arch Rivals and Rubberneck on Drop Music.TOMMO spends his days working at award winning on-line music store Juno Records and running influential deep house label Ornate Music which name checks Toka Project, Bleep District, Giom &amp; Pete Dafeet on its current release roster.

They also have been commissioned to remix deep house anthem Sense Of Danger by Presence featuring Shara Nelson. Further remixes and two EP's are pencilled for a Spring 2010 release on Ornate Music and Rival Recordings.

The Houstakerz is a deejays and beatmakers collective from Belgium. Passionate about soul, funk and jazz music, they use the classic sounds of the 70's remixed into House music.

The Houstakerz a blend of turntablism and mixing, are an original concept that maintains a basically hip-hop attitude. During their live sets they use their own sound tracks and other bootlegs. The Houstakerz tailor their sets to your dancefloor using the MK-2 as a real musical instrument.
