Episode 130 nearly didn’t happen - a few days after Episode 129 my mac broke in what seemed like a fairly conclusive manner, and I only just got it fixed in time. Had that not happened I could have played the tunes but would have had no way of broadcasting live, so it would’ve had to be a prerecord. In the end the show was able to go ahead as normal, but without any of the usual promos or new bits as I’ve been fully out of action in that regard. But I had fun delving into the depths of my USB to bring you a nice variety of funky goodness, including some African-flavoured beats from my recent Radio 1001 set, some hip hop and lots of the usual funk forward flavours. 

Then my guest in hour 2 continued the funky goodness. Si Kemp treated us to an hour of divine disco flavours, starting slow and slinky and and not increasing the tempo too much throughout - keeping things nice and classy throughout… just how I like it. A very high quality set, which I hope you enjoy.

A solid RnB foundation in my teens led me to dance music and house in those later teen years. Always keeping an eye on the charts and the scene, I soon found myself selecting at parties and being told to ‘buy some decks’ It took many years for that to happen but I’ve played weekly for the last 5 years as I’ve learnt the craft.
