Fresh from the success of The Shadow Self II last December, which featured Terr and Echonomist as remixers, Berlin duo Yeah But No will release on Distant Echos once again this April with The Shadow Self III. The lead track, Keep Running, picks up where Run Run Run left off: the pair’s 2019 offering that was remixed by Keinemusik linchpin Adam Port.

"With Keep Running, we tell the story of a lost person - in pursuit of social perfection, a life full of constraints and walls - far away from real desires. The only thing that remains is the escape from the self, through an endless labyrinth of wrong decisions. The lyrics continue on from Run Run Run, relating to an inner demon that makes us run away from situations we should really confront.” - Yeah But No.

Keep Running takes the form of a strikingly beautiful cut, as poignant vocal offerings leave us in a state of starry-eyed reflection. Percussive elements build gently, providing a staggered, slow-building rhythm that enhances the moving nature of the title track. An acoustic version comes next, further amplifying Keep Running’s organic nature, before Ivory’s Euphoria Mix takes on a more dancefloor-inspired edge with hard-hitting kick-hat pairings.

Yeah But No is the collaborative project of Fabian Kuss and AEON founder Alex Niggemann. Influenced by hypnotic techno and great pop music, the duo are carving out a haunting sound that is perfectly evidenced in their latest production series: The Shadow Self. The second edition drew support from some of electronic music’s most esteemed artists, including Dixon, Mind Against and Adriatique to name a few, laying the foundation for a similarly successful release on The Shadow Self III.

We are very happy to introduce you to DISTANT ECHOS.  
Founded by producer/composer Alex Niggemann (AEON) and Singer/Songwriter/ Producer Fabian Kuss (YEAH BUT NO), the brand new label will set out to be a bastion of quality, featuring bands & artists from a broad musical church with leanings towards Electronica and Neo Pop.
The label kicked off their journey with the debut EP from Maltese Duo KNTRL “JUST WORDS“, which was released on the 6th of August.

From the south of France to Dubai, Paul Svenson continues to evoke emotion through intense and beautiful melodies. A headliner and chart-topping producer, Paul’s ingenious instinct enables him to impressively captivate audiences of both intimate dancefloors and large venues.
Paul’s signature sound was shaped at the onset of his career, in 2009, where he played across the French Riviera in cities including Saint-Tropez and Cannes, and the independent microstate of Monaco. Since 2014, Paul has become a key figure among a respected repertoire of DJ’s shaping Dubai’s dynamic and promising nightlife industry, having played in the city’s most iconic venues such as Soho Garden, WHITE Dubai, BASE, and Iris. 
By 2019, Paul had cemented his reputation as an enigmatic and skilled artist through his ability to intuitively craft emotive and energetic sets. His credentials were further strengthened with his debut release alongside Alex Twin, ‘Karuneshh’, which was remixed by Stereo Express and reached the Top 20 on Beatport’s Afro-House charts, as well as garnered support from artists such as Blondish. Paul’s subsequent release ‘Ivory’ made waves in Apple Music’s ‘Top Techno Tracks’ playlist, enjoying a position in the Top 3 for six months.
Behind the decks, Paul’s sound has evolved over the years. With his origins firmly rooted in Deep House, recent years have seen Paul embrace Melodic Techno and Organic House/Downtempo, a deeper, slower and more meditative shade of house music. Always representing the music, Paul’s acclaim has led him to share the stage with globally renowned artists including Black Coffee, Dubfire, Behrouz, and Artbat. With a burgeoning career, Paul Svenson is in the midst of building a musical legacy that will last a lifetime.
