This is what happens behind closed doors, a space to showcase both our resident brands, local selectors and upcoming and unsigned talent that regular grace our booth, to keep you both gassed for these nights and to put some limelight on the boundless selectors that make up the scene here and showcase some of the sound our little bar has to offer. There is something for everyone here, with Garage to Disco, Breaks to Minimal. We cater for everyone with a essence on the underground sound. You can catch pretty much all these DJs performing at our venue at some point over the year so this gives you a true capture of the sound of Distrikt and our artists and their events. Its Better Underground.

Back on the airwaves with the Altered Feast show. This week we were joined by S.M.I.T.H in the studio for a special one hour guest mix and he brought with him loads of exclusive and unreleased beats. Was a great show with plenty of promos and an exclusive Altered Feast track in the first hour. Not to be missed for the house heads.

Flex FM Show 30/06/20 - Guest mix from S.M.I.T.H - Exclusive and unreleased music

Our latest mix comes from the all-female collective Intermix_ that was set up to push the finest female DJs around the UK and further afield. 

Before lockdown came in we were meant to have the team in alongside Annie Errez on headline duties in the bar, so it's great to have them on a mix for the moment. 
Representing Intermix we have a newly formed collective MOSSA. 
‘MOSSA’ is a female collective formed of good friends and Manchester DJ/Producers Jini Cowan and Janina J. Jini Cowan is known for her varied styles of production and commandeering her very own house/minimal label ANIMA, whilst Janina J has played various venues such as South, Joshua brooks, Stage & Radio in Manchester and producing and releasing on labels such as Johnny Johnny.

Both girls love to roll out the deep minimal sound and this mix does it perfectly. Lock In.

In episode 035 we have a slamming 2 hour minimal house guest mix from one of Newports biggest DJ's - K0ncept.
K0ncept is no stranger to the decks having been DJ'ing for over 15 years which has taken him all over the globe to some of the biggest party destinations around. He currently has a residency in Newports Blind Tiger every Saturday called Re:Work and you can also check him out on his own weekly show on Bass FM named Saturday Salute.
You can also catch him playing at Shift saves summer festival in Risca in September and is also a part of the Sundance festival lineup in Andorra in January.
It's non stop groove in this smooth 2 hour mix so turn the volume up and let K0ncept take you on a journey through house.

Growing up in Southern California, MADVILLA (aka Adriane Jackson) made the transatlantic journey to the UK at the age of 17. Currently residing in London, his much fabled “ghetto deep” sound has already led to releases on a myriad of esteemed record labels – including the likes of Strictly Rhythm, Food Music, Avotre & Seven Dials. With artistic support from Enzo Siragusa, Sidney Charles & Skream, MADVILLA’s unique talents as a producer have continued to propel him towards the upper realms of the electronic music scene.

With an hour-long mix of music that just might suit all occasions, MADVILLA joins the ‘Equinox Invites’ mix series as our fifth entry. Expertly interweaving enchanting vocals with emotive chords and basslines, the American’s infectious brand of groove is sure to capture the imagination of all who hear it.
