When Leeds duo Galaxians formed in 2012, their mission was clear, to bring back BEAT, and at a breakneck pace, including releases on Rotating Souls (ATLANTA) and Leeds's own Stargaze, plus stages shared with the likes of Tom Tom Club, Golden Teacher, Zombie Zombie, and Ultramagnetic MCs, Galaxians are here to bring back visceral funk. 

With their latest release on Brooklyn's Dither Down records, the Galaxians have found the perfect home for a duo inspired by NYC boogie labels like West End and Sam. Giving them the perfect opportunity to showcase the sounds that have made them such a hit with festival crowds.

Rollmottle aka Anthony Puglisi's signature atmospheric disco sound has been stirring up a “quiet storm” of late and he is continuously evolving his synth/gear driven musicality with each release. I’ve been a fan since the mid-2000s so after consulting with my trusted friend DJ Beatbroker I knew a Rollmottle remix would be a perfect fit for Cruise Control.

This is a faithful recreation of a vintage re-edit originally on the Hot Tracks label and is very rare! My DJ partner Steve Shakewell put in a request that i re-do this edit and I assumed it would be a breeze but it was really tough! I can't imagine how this was done on tape in the early 80's! Anyways, it's a great tune and a great edit and now you can spin it!
