When Chrome Canyon (Stones Throw) and Saarid (Throne of Blood), formed duo Soft Touch in Brooklyn in 2012, their intent was to make "adventurous pop music." For them, adventures encompass an array of sounds including vintage disco, 90's R+B, Golden Era NYC Hip Hop and House Music. Their latest release on Brooklyn Based Dither Down Records, is "Swim in the Night", which is available on 12" vinyl and digital download. Joining them this time around is Norwegian vocal powerhouse, Silya. Her songs have been covered by Vanessa Hudgens and she's duetted with Cee Lo Green and she has done everything from cabaret to Rock n Roll. And it's all topped off by a trio of great remixes from Chrome Canyon, Mocean Worker and Walker & Royce.

Rollmottle aka Anthony Puglisi's signature atmospheric disco sound has been stirring up a “quiet storm” of late and he is continuously evolving his synth/gear driven musicality with each release. I’ve been a fan since the mid-2000s so after consulting with my trusted friend DJ Beatbroker I knew a Rollmottle remix would be a perfect fit for Cruise Control.

This is a faithful recreation of a vintage re-edit originally on the Hot Tracks label and is very rare! My DJ partner Steve Shakewell put in a request that i re-do this edit and I assumed it would be a breeze but it was really tough! I can't imagine how this was done on tape in the early 80's! Anyways, it's a great tune and a great edit and now you can spin it!
