INTERVIEW
1. How would you describe your sound?

“Driving is probably the most accurate word for my music. I love music that has a good drive in it and without thinking about it I almost always seem to produce things that has a deep drive in it.”

2. Most exciting club moment?

“I have many really exciting moments, but DGTL Amsterdam in 2014 was something special!”

3. How did you learn producing?

“I learned producing 10-12 years ago, while I was attending a music school, where I played guitar in a rock band. The electronic music production grabbed my attention the first time a saw it and a few months later I bought a small studio setup having no knowledge at all on how to produce. I am a self-taught producer and it was not an easy journey for me - but no one ever said it would be.”

4. Favorite track at the moment?

“Tough one! Check number 2 and the last track in my podcast.”

5. DAW?

“Ableton 4 life.”

6. What is your trademark?

“Never sticking to the plan. I do not think I have a trademark other than I am always trying to re-new my sound. I get inspired to try out new sounds all the time, and I guess that makes my style diverse somehow.”

7. Next release?

“My next release is on my own label, Blindfold Recordings. It is a melodic piece with two originals and an Oliver Schories Remix. Plus I got an EP coming on legendary Global Underground.”

8. What keeps you going?

“My love for the music. This business is tough and after only a few years I could feel the pressure when I was touring. Too little sleep, a lot of pressure from promotors, fans etc. it makes your head spin around like crazy. Sometimes when I came back home after maybe 2-3 gigs I would be so much out of balance that you would not even believe it. I have said to myself a lot of times that it is time to leave the DJ life, but after only a few days I am dying to go out again. It is a curse. So the love for the music and passion for the people who are like-minded is what keeps me going.”

9. Where would you love to play live?

“I would love to play at Awakenings at some point - life goals and everything.

10. What makes you laugh?

“Will Ferrell in Step-brothers and Anchorman. Simple as that, and they never fail.”

Third Son from London / UK is taking control for the seventh episode of our Parquet Recordings Mixtape Series. Third Son’s goal has always been simple - to make the best music he can. Coming from a musical family and trained as a musician from a young age, his innate passion for music has taken him through styles and experimentation the world over. While his successful debut EP "Geometry / Karma" together with Wally Lopez were released in August 2016, the brandnew follow-up solo-singles "Viscode / Film Score" on Parquet Recordings just arrived in the shops. Dj Cuba poprvé vystupoval na přelomu roku 1992-93. Na začátku kariéry vystupoval v dnes již neexistujících klubech jako je  například Astra na Václavském naměstí, anebo legendární Sluníčko. Z větších akcí to pak byly party ve Slovanském domě a v Ládví. Společně s Igorem Patakym má pořad na Radiu 1 věnující se taneční hudbě a od roku 1998 je také resident klubu Radost FX. 

V roce 1999 produkuje CD kompilaci Connection in harmony pro telekomunikační společnost T-mobile. Za připomenutí stojí také rok 1998, kdy měl možnost si zahrát na legendární berlínské Love Parade.
Vystupoval po boku djs: Joost van Bellen, Space DJs, Cristian Varela, Regis, Eddie Richards a mnoha dalších.

Especially dance music allows us to unify with the flow of the music. When we express the energy it releases within us, by just giving ourselves to it and following the spontaneous and authentic movements of our bodies, we can experience a state of connection, peace and joy. Doing this collectively, synchronously moving to the same rhythm and sharing this special experience, we feel a connection that resonates within.

With DIT KLINGT JUT we want to express our love for music and manifest the meaning it can have for all of us. We do this by providing a thoughtfully curated space for artists and labels to share their music, organizing events & live-streams and serving as a platform to share ideas on music and the creative process.
