INTERVIEW

1. Why did you choose to become an artist?
"It wasn’t really an active choice for me to be honest but it rather came over me naturally. I just realized over time that I would feel better whenever I made music."

2. What do you want to express with your music?
"Emotions. For me, music is all about emotions as you can probably hear in this mixtape. There are these very special vibes which make feel something. And I love it when these feelings hit me."

3. What do you do to get into a creative state?
"Most important for the lazybones I am is probably routine; because you can't get into a creative state of mind when you don't actually try to create something, right? Waking up early, sitting down with a cup of coffee and just playing around. Sometimes I come up with the main idea of a new track, sometimes I just discover a hidden function of one of my synthesizers. Not every session has to lead to a new track - sometimes I just need to clear my head."

4. What, for you, is the purpose of art?
"I like to think of art as a kind of language, a language which is used to describe feelings which can't really be described with words. There are occasions where you encounter some piece of art and you kind of understand this certain language, it just resonates with you and sets you in a certain mood. And then there is art which you simply don't understand, which is trying to communicate with you in a different language."

5. You in 11 years?
"Well, I’m not a big fan of planning too far ahead. One year ago I couldn’t even imagine how much of an impact 2019 would have on me and my career. And that's just ONE year, so it's impossible for me to think 11 years ahead. I’m sure though that I’ll still get excited by creating and playing music - it’s just a huge part of me."

The art of music has touched the hearts of human beings around the planet for thousands of years. It's a universal language with the ability to express what can't be expressed through words or thought. It can induce strong emotions, alter our states of consciousness and let us experience reality in a different way. It can draw us into the present moment, where just the music exists - unfolding through time, moment by moment. When we let go and merge into the auditory sensations, it takes us on an inner journey. Using this not to escape, but to fully embrace reality as it is, music can help us release tensions and bring balance to our everyday life. 
Especially dance music allows us to unify with the flow of the music. When we express the energy it releases within us, by just giving ourselves to it and following the spontaneous and authentic movements of our bodies, we can experience a state of connection, peace and joy. Doing this collectively, synchronously moving to the same rhythm and sharing this special experience, we feel a connection that resonates within.

With DIT KLINGT JUT we want to express our love for music and manifest the meaning it can have for all of us. We do this by providing a thoughtfully curated space for artists and labels to share their music, organizing events & live-streams and serving as a platform to share ideas on music and the creative process.
