Sneffinsky:

Born and raised in the beautiful Ahr Valley in western Germany I always had the calming natural influence of forests and small mountains, which has been inspiring me ever since I can think. Until today this connection has continuosuly grown and there’s no place I feel more at home than the outdoors. 
Moving to Cologne in 2017 then sparked my deep passion for the world of electronic music which is experiencing a constant organic shaping by many artists of different genres. In 2019 I made a first step & started mixing music myself and got to play at various privately organized events so far. Over time I have been getting into progressive, deep, melodic house and techno a lot, through which I can best express the synergy of nature and music united in me. My fundamental concept while playing music is to let people dream and join me on a journey through other dimensions of perception.  
Being really just at the beginning of my musical journey, I’m positively looking forward to what is yet to come – hopefully releasing my own productions in the future.
For now I hope you can enjoy listening to this set as much as I enjoyed playing it for ya!

Raised in a house with a dad who listened to Pink Floyd, Supertramp, folk music, and a mom that listened to Bee Gees, Giorgio Moroder and Donna Summer, Sebastian was able to develop love for energetic and progressive music.

Around year 2000-2001 He discovered trance and house music on some GateCrasher, D-mode cd compilations at the "Pop/Disco/Dance" little section that a famous local store used to have, he fell in love with the sound.

Producers such as Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten (System F back then), Mauro Picotto, P.U.S.H where playing all the time on his little cd sound system in his room.

Throughout the years he was able to learn and discover other genres such as melodic & deep house, progressive house and melodic techno.

Sebastian has played as guest for a Radio Podcast by @musicalldayeveryday from San Diego, United States, also in Trance Latino america as guest mix for Antonino Tizzano Radio Show, Movement Live show done by @soulmatestudio-academy, Hot Shot Series by Melodic Deep House and more

Nowadays his tracks go from Chill out, Deep to Progressive and Trance with hypnotic melodies and magical elements as we can also notice on his monthly podcast, Progressive Sounds every last Friday of the month on Soundcloud and MixCloud

Who inspired you the most on your path as an artist? 

I’ve always been idolizing tastemakers from different genres . I frequently get inspired by people who are doing something different and have a unique taste and style. 
What can we expect from you in the near future? 

Lots of music :) Working on finalizing an Ep and a few collabs with likeminded artists. Cant wait to show you what i’ve been cooking in the near future!

How do you describe your own personal music style?

I trained to be a professional dancer for 14 years (stopped when I went to university), so I’ve been taught to express my emotions through music and movement. This definitely carried over into my music style! I love higher BPM music with a bouncing feel that makes people want to dance, no matter whether they’re sitting, on the dancefloor, or resting on the side. Life can be tough and I want people to feel lighter and free while listening to my music.

What was your favourite party or festival moment?

Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy 250 event in 2017 at The Gorge, an amazing outdoor venue in the US. It was my first full weekend festival - I’d only done day-long events before that. My friends flew out from New York, picked me up in a van, and were so kind in introducing me to their crew. I’m only 155cm, so one of the guys from our group that I’d just met that weekend asked if I wanted to be on his shoulders and experience the birds-eye view. It was INCREDIBLE - so peaceful and energising seeing everyone with their hands up, lights and outfits on, and just living in the moment. That was one of the calmest moments of my life.

How would you describe your approach to Social Media as an artist?

I come from the esports world, so a lot of my followers actually come from the gaming space. Social media is often misleading and can create a lot of feelings of low self-worth or not being “good enough”. I’m not perfect AT ALL and I’m definitely the same way in my social posts and content. My focus is showing people my authentic life - whether it’s my 60-hour work weeks, the most successful moments in my life, or those messy “what was I thinking?” times, I want to be relatable so people know that they’re not alone in this wild journey called life.

Spotlight 020 | Ele Luz

Chris and Justus met in Berlin at the beginning of their DJ careers and shared their love for the city's club culture. Together, they decided to form a collective and bring their vision of the perfect party to life. In September 2018, they hosted their first event at the well-known Kaffee Burger club, founding @beschaeftigungstherapie [BSTHP]. Since then, they have organized many showcase events in well-known Berlin clubs like KitKat, Mensch Meier, Birgit&Bier and Polygon as well as hosted parties in unique underground locations. BSTHP mainly revolves around bringing friends and acquaintances together to shake off the everyday stress and enjoy the moment. Although the party family is getting bigger and bigger, the familiar atmosphere of the very first party remains the trademark of all parties.

"I recorded this set at the CLITCAT Pride After Party and it was a lot of fun! Also love is a important factor in my life right now, so this influenced the set for sure as well a bit."

"Maybe because it’s fresh, but playing Acid Bogen for the first time was a awesome experience"

"I love playing b2b‘s since they are my favorite way of learning new things on the decks. Also it is fun to adapt to music, you usually don’t play. "

"The best release at the moment is DIM KELLY & Mondingo - Homily, my all time favorite is maybe Martin Den Hollander - Breathe!"

What was the intention behind your set?
In podcasts or live DJ sets, I always try to express my current mood and incorporate all the musical influences that inspire me. It's less about the mixing technique and more about the atmosphere and the storytelling and especially the closing of the set. I try to keep it deep and combine hypnotic/trippy with emotional sounds. In this set are some tracks I played at Zugvøgel Festival this summer, where I've been a resident for a few years now. I got this as a little present for everyone who was sad that I haven't uploaded the live recording yet.

What was your most significant club / festival moment?
In 2019 I played the closing set on Zamonien Floor at Zugvøgel Festival and at the end of the set I could hear and see people in front of the stage completely falling apart with their emotions. Between laughing and crying with joy. The Dj Booth was full of my dearest friends and I can't remember a moment where I didn't have goosebumps. Light, decoration, people. Everything was just right

Favorite release at the moment & of all times?
Even though it was released a while ago, I discovered the track Beatamines & Stephan Zovsky – The Island (Dole&Kom Remix) this year. I really love this organic and driving sound of the track! 
All Time Fav is hard!
Melancholic sound influences me a lot and if it's danceable to it, then it's perfect for me. I have played the track in a lot of closing tracks and therefore I would choose Skena – Too Late (Original Mix).

What was the intention behind your set?

"Synaptic Shift" represents more than just a genre shift—it’s a rewiring of the mind, a shift in perception. With dark, driving basslines, shimmering synths, and pulsating rhythms, FAUXPAS creates a soundscape that moves both body and mind. This set invites you to let go, open your mind, and embark on a journey between dimensions.

What was your most significant club / festival moment?

That was clearly our first festival gig in 2022 at the Feel Festival.
Before us, a group played with a completely different sound than ours, bringing a totally different vibe to the floor.
Of course, we were a bit nervous, but once we realized that our sound was well received by the crowd, smiles started spreading, hips began shaking, and the pressure lifted. We were able to fully enjoy the experience. It was truly wonderful!

Spotlight 029 | FAUXPAS "Synaptic Shift"

We are happy to welcome @granular-heat for the next part of our spotlight series!

Granular Heat is a 29 years old Melodic Techno DJ and Producer out of Hamburg in the north of Germany. His signature sound is a blend between Melodic Techno and Progressive House with emotional breaks, characteristic vocals and rhytmical basses and synthesizers.
 
What was the intention behind your set? 
With my DIT KLINGT JUT set i want to express my style in playing music. I want to take the people with me on a musical journey through time and space and tell them my story with the songs i choosed. My sets are known for emotional breaks and vocal parts, which are there to close the eyes and to take a deep breath, before the next drop will hit in. So I hope I make the listeners dance and I can leave a smile on their faces.
 
This set is filled with my favorite releases of the year 2024, songs of really good friends of mine and also own unreleased music.
 
What was your most significant club / festival moment?
My most significant club moment was my set in the club Zimmer in Mannheim, where I took in December 2024 over from Kevin de Vries to play the closing set of the night. Kevin was one of the artist, with who my love for Melodic Techno started, so it was a special moment to share the decks with him.

BIO:
After a solid education in multiple classical instruments and drums Matthias Schuell kicked off his
solo career in the electronic scene as producer, DJ and live act in June 2018. Right with his first
release “Scarabaeus” out on Dantze his music was played by big artists such as Joris Voor, Artbat,
Animal Picnic, Moonwalk and many more so it easily entered the Progressive House charts and
kept the best sold track of the label for a solid year. Since then Matthias Schuell made a name of
himself as a formidable producer, DJ and musician – not only in his own productions but also as a
highly demanded remixer who already officially remixed Booka Shade, Niconé, Bondi and many
more. After his live set at Fusion Festival last year the attention grew even higher and and the
recording quickly reached over 20k plays on Soundcloud.

Already internationally touring in whole Europe like Amsterdam, Malta, Brighton UK, Copenhagen
and Sevilla the Berlin based talent also holds a residency at Ritter Butzke Club Berlin and was
installed as the A&R and label manager of the attached music label “Ritter Butzke Studio” where he
is already working with Extrawelt, Dominik Eulberg, Oliver Koletzki, Digitalism, Mathias Kaden,
Oliver Schories, Dapayk and Township Rebellion. In autumn there will be further, highly
anticipated original releases on Marc DePulse's “Jeahmon Records”, Jonas Saalbach's “Radikon”
and “Blindfold Recordings” from Copenhagen. A tour in south america for December is already in
the making and Matthias is working on his own event brand in Berlin for 2020!

The art of music has touched the hearts of human beings around the planet for thousands of years. It's a universal language with the ability to express what can't be expressed through words or thought. It can induce strong emotions, alter our states of consciousness and let us experience reality in a different way. It can draw us into the present moment, where just the music exists - unfolding through time, moment by moment. When we let go and merge into the auditory sensations, it takes us on an inner journey. Using this not to escape, but to fully embrace reality as it is, music can help us release tensions and bring balance to our everyday life. 
Especially dance music allows us to unify with the flow of the music. When we express the energy it releases within us, by just giving ourselves to it and following the spontaneous and authentic movements of our bodies, we can experience a state of connection, peace and joy. Doing this collectively, synchronously moving to the same rhythm and sharing this special experience, we feel a connection that resonates within.

With DIT KLINGT JUT we want to express our love for music and manifest the meaning it can have for all of us. We do this by providing a thoughtfully curated space for artists and labels to share their music, organizing events & live-streams and serving as a platform to share ideas on music and the creative process.
