Bio - James Mpbk is the label manager and founder of UK based techno imprint Sequence Music.

James’ journey in electronic music started back in 1999 while working as a brand manager for ‘Ministry of Sound’ in London, before setting up his own club brand ‘Cargo’ in the the UK city of Sheffield. Cargo became synonymous as one of the most forward thinking events in the area, bringing together some of the biggest artists and DJs in world.

Fast forward to 2021, James now heads up sequence music, a record label that has quickly gained reputation among its peers. Attracting both established producers & emerging talent from across the globe, the label has already gained support from artists such as Tale of Us, Fideles, Øostil and many more.

About the release
After long hours listening to the almost 50 remixes received for our first Remix Contest, we finally chose the winners - and the songs are simply amazing, so our honest congratulations to Sensitive (IT), Alex Glenn, Madomo Planet, Decreto and Desthen.  Before entering the universe of each of them, we would like to thank Who Else, a prominent artist from the Argentine scene who agreed to give his beautiful “Karma” for the contest, a deep and melodic track with synths that give us goosebumps from head to toe. Madomo Planet delivers a version with a taste of nostalgia. It seems that we went back in time in a few years and floated through a sea of clouds, a track that seems to be timeless thanks to its powerful rhythmic narrative.

The art of music has touched the hearts of human beings around the planet for thousands of years. Using this not to escape, but to fully embrace reality as it is, music can help us release tensions and bring balance to our everyday life. 
Especially dance music allows us to unify with the flow of the music. When we express the energy it releases within us, by just giving ourselves to it and following the spontaneous and authentic movements of our bodies, we can experience a state of connection, peace and joy. Doing this collectively, synchronously moving to the same rhythm and sharing this special experience, we feel a connection that resonates within.

With DIT KLINGT JUT we want to express our love for music and manifest the meaning it can have for all of us. We do this by providing a thoughtfully curated space for artists and labels to share their music, organizing events & live-streams and serving as a platform to share ideas on music and the creative process.
