For podcast #024 we have the pleasure of hosting Stiller & Nave Migratoria from France and Germany. The duo formed in Bogota, Colombia have put together a beautiful mix combining addictive afro/organic beats and synthesized melodies that is bound to get your feet moving!

bio: Stiller and Nave Migratoria met during an event about the electronic music scene in Berlin at the Goethe Institut in Bogotá, Colombia. Very quickly they realized that they share the same passion for electronic music mixed with traditional and organic sounds. With this set they tried to capture and express their desire and hopes to return to the dancefloors real soon. They also wish to express their solidarity with the Colombian people protesting on the streets right now.

MINI-INTERVIEW

Solo or b2b?
maltech: I feel like I can be most cohesive with my sound and the journey I create when I play solo while grooving myself into a deeply focused state that feels very personal and intimate with the crowd. In contrast, sharing the decks is a more social experience and adds another element of surprise and fun. You never know where your b2b partner is gonna take the set next and how you can build on that. It also helps me learn and hone my skills in a very organic way. All that said, my preference always depends on the particular situation and I generally enjoy both thoroughly =)

What do you want to express with your music?
OELEX: I always aim to create an experience or state of mind which pulls the listener's attention completely into the music. After reaching this state of mind my ultimate goal is to have them open up their emotional guard so the music can do its magic. 

What do you do to get into a creative state?
maltech: Creativity for me is strongly connected to a feeling of enthusiasm, which for me arises spontaneously and situationally rather than planned. A typical situation would be the arrival at a party or festival,  or the excitement and interaction with the crowd during a gig. Sometimes it also just hits me at home or on the road. Then I love to flow with it and cease that moment to DJ, dance or explore new music. In a broader context I like to trust that whenever a situation demands my creativity, as long as my inner world is peaceful and open, creativity will flow.

The art of music has touched the hearts of human beings around the planet for thousands of years. When we express the energy it releases within us, by just giving ourselves to it and following the spontaneous and authentic movements of our bodies, we can experience a state of connection, peace and joy. Doing this collectively, synchronously moving to the same rhythm and sharing this special experience, we feel a connection that resonates within.

With DIT KLINGT JUT we want to express our love for music and manifest the meaning it can have for all of us. We do this by providing a thoughtfully curated space for artists and labels to share their music, organizing events & live-streams and serving as a platform to share ideas on music and the creative process.
