Dieses Gedicht von Hermann Allmers gibt treffend das Gefühl wieder, welches No Sé Leon überkommt, wenn er sich in seinem Element der Musik befindet. Im Moment zu sein, sich selbst zu vergessen und wie in einem meditativen Zustand, eins mit dem Raum der einen umgibt zu sein. Dies macht für ihn den Reiz aus sich mit Musik zu beschäftigen und das hört man bei jedem Takt seiner deep story. Zudem bekommen aufmerksame Zuhörer einen Eindruck der EP, die demnächst auf deep stories records erscheinen wird.

It's been a while since we featured another female DJ/producer and today we're presenting an exclusive and intense guestmix straight from the sunny beaches of Mexico!

This Copenhagend based upcoming talent caught our eye a few months back with one of her 'Wan Deep' sessions, which are powered by Techart, https://soundcloud.com/droptwinsofficial and https://soundcloud.com/wanderlustrec . We quickly felt that she's got the same genuine and positive mindset, so it was only a matter of time that she'd become our next invite.

She had her breakthrough quickly after ADE last year, where her carrier took an even bigger jump. She already made an endless amount of guestmixes for radios and podcasts all over the world. Besides that she's dj´ed all over Europe at big festivals, clubs and events and having a DJ residency in Berlin at Insomnia Night Club and H13. 

For now, she's living, dj´ing and producing in Mexico, playing on a weekly basis in Tulum and Cancun area for Deep Paradise Cancun events and many more.

"b2b because it's more fun and always the curious which track the partner will pick as next."

What is the intention behind your set?
"For us, the greatest thing is to have someone by our side who has the same passion for electronic music and we want to transmit that in each of our sets."

Favorite release at the moment & of all time?
"Our favorite release at the moment is Citizen Kain - Bareknuckle (Stereo Express Remix) we also played it in this Set. The all time favorite release is hard to say, there are a lot of tracks we both love so it's hard to choose a favorite but to give an example, Astronautin by Stephan Bodzin brings us both to a very emotional peak."

Impressed by the diversity of sounds, he started to play DJ-sets and produced his first own tracks in 2013. After exploring various styles under different pseudonyms, gradually his taste in music got shaped and led to his alias “Aio”, which was born in early 2016. His music is characterised by variable soundscapes with an eye for detail. Strong kick-bass-grooves meet melodic sketches which will move your body and let the mind flow. Releases on labels like Stil vor Talent, Parquet Recordings, DENSE AUDIO and Jannowitz give a hint of his versatility in sound design and got great feedback from other DJs and the crowd in the clubs. What was your most significant club / festival moment?

In the last few years, we have experienced many incredibly beautiful moments through DJing. One of the most significant ones was at a club called Mensch Meier last year.
Even before we started making music, Mensch Meier was our favourite club. When we suddenly found ourselves behind the decks a little dream came true for us.

Solo or b2b? And why?

Of course c2c!
All the music-making, traveling, growing and everything that goes with it is simply much more fun when there are two of us.

What can we expect from you in the near future?

We're excited to play the first time b2b2b with our buddy k3m4 at Kitkat Club on 10.06 and on 24.06. we will be back at our beloved Mensch Meier with our event series fhainste Bambule. We are also looking forward to our festival summer with Bastion der Spinnerei, Hain & Zunder, Funkloch, Castlebeats & Kepotopia Festival.

Spotlight 021 | C2C

Chris and Justus met in Berlin at the beginning of their DJ careers and shared their love for the city's club culture. Together, they decided to form a collective and bring their vision of the perfect party to life. In September 2018, they hosted their first event at the well-known Kaffee Burger club, founding @beschaeftigungstherapie [BSTHP]. Since then, they have organized many showcase events in well-known Berlin clubs like KitKat, Mensch Meier, Birgit&Bier and Polygon as well as hosted parties in unique underground locations. BSTHP mainly revolves around bringing friends and acquaintances together to shake off the everyday stress and enjoy the moment. Although the party family is getting bigger and bigger, the familiar atmosphere of the very first party remains the trademark of all parties.

What was the intention behind your set?
"To showcase my productions and sound as an artist as this set is made primarily of my own productions."

How would you describe your approach to Social Media as an artist?
"I think over the years we’ve seen many formats of posts and how to increase engagement etc and I personally have seen that out of the many formats there are when it comes to a release and how to promote it. There are only a few ways that are optimal and I'm all for social media promotion. It allows us as artists to reach people we otherwise wouldnt and that’s incredibly valuable."

Who inspired you the most on your path as an artist?
"I would have to say artists such as Tale of Us, Fideles, Oliver Winters, Deadmau5 and artists alike."

Spotlight 023 | Jono Stephenson

We are happy to welcome @doubljuh for the next part of our spotlight series!

At the age of 14 the Doubljuh started to experiment with his first DJ setup until mixing music with vinyl became his second nature. His first attempts were characterized by Chicago House (Bad Boy Bill, Richard Humpty vission), Ghetto House/Booty House (Dj Funk, Dj Deeon) and especially Funky Disco House (Boogie Pimps, Armand van Helden, Bob Sinclar, Olav Basoski). Early on a varied House style with groovy melodies and catchy vocals arose. He impressed his audience first as a newcomer of the Tectrex Crew and performed as Resident DJ in the show „Rookie Freaks“ via the Tectrex Webstream. His opinion about electronic music fundamentally changed in summer 2013 after his visits to legendary festivals such as Fusion and Kazantip, which included a short performance. He got to know and love melodic Deep House, which strongly shaped his music style since that time. Now the familiar groovy House beats take turns with soft parts and enchant the audience with frisky melodies of the violin and the piano. This results in fresh sounds, which are still highly characterized by catchy vocals. In 2015, he founded the DJ collective "deep stories" together with Kork, which is very successful with its podcast series on Soundcloud thanks to its innovative concept. He is currently on the road in Hamburg and coclogne with the deep stories showcase.

When we express the energy it releases within us, by just giving ourselves to it and following the spontaneous and authentic movements of our bodies, we can experience a state of connection, peace and joy. Doing this collectively, synchronously moving to the same rhythm and sharing this special experience, we feel a connection that resonates within.

With DIT KLINGT JUT we want to express our love for music and manifest the meaning it can have for all of us.
