althea rosales, creatively known as SARDONIX, is a filipina and LGBTQ+ dubstep/techno DJ aspiring to break arbitrary boundaries in music and tech. she was born in london, england, and is now based in the bay area, playing at events ranging from small pop-ups to nightclubs.

her name comes from the gemstone sardonyx, known for carrying huge amounts of bold energy while reserving it for the few, and combining it with IX (9), her birth month. her name is in no way related to sardonicism, but one could argue for it, as she believes that not giving a f*ck is the best way to live life to the fullest.

through her music, SARDONIX hopes that no matter where she plays, she can build and strengthen communities whose loudness is unmatched. ultimately, her goal is to inspire others to be as loud as possible in not only their passions, but their advocacy for a better world.
