In 2015, Xavier [VALK] discovered electronic music for the first time at the legendary Decadance in Ghent. From then on, he knew that techno music did something special to him. 

After a few years of inspiration, he decided to take lessons at the DJ School of Ghent in 2018 with David Fouquaert, of the legendary Ghent DJ duo Mo & Benoelie, as his teacher. 

The style of VALK is very consistent and tight. He likes to keep it floaty, mysterious, hypnotic and he very much likes to dig into deeper regions with a groovy touch. 

His biggest inspirations are Ben Klock, Rødhåd, Ben Sims, Marcel Dettmann, Dasha Rush,..

New project launched in 2023. From now on, Xavier will also go through life as "BLACKBIRD". He like to show his passion for the melodic part of himself.
