We were very excited to release one of the most special sets from Refractor 2024. 

@Bambi-dj delighted us with a journey through different styles, starting with touches of dub that gradually ventured into timeless progressive trance and house. 

A musical experience with smooth transitions between tracks that range from deep and immersive beats to faster, more percussive rhythms.

This might be the perfect way to describe this new 𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘴𝘱𝘢 crystallized by Da:mu.
Discovered on a sunlit afternoon at the very edge of France last summer, it quickly became clear that we wanted to invite him to be part of this project.

Born on World Music Day, Da:mu lives for sonic emotions deeply rooted in his body & mind.
As a co-founder of Öz (@ozcollective_), he shares a vision of free-spirited & colorful celebrations, embracing rhythmic journeys and unexpected mystical flights.
He is also one half of the rock’n trance-infused project Yland Sunr:ders with his accomplice diafan (@me_diafan), which resides on the imaginary utopia Ybyzär.

From the desire to (re)bring certain musical genres and universes into the spotlight, here is one of them, which we have the sublime pleasure of unveiling to you.

A London DJing and promotion mainstay since 2006, Casper Clark started using the name Volte-Face in 2014 when his first productions started to land, initially on his own label BleeD, with subsequent appearances on the likes of Semantica, Non-Series and Phorma. The period up until 2019 was marked by appearances at important beacons of the European techno scene such as Berghain, Tresor, Khidi, Trouw, Shelter, Rex, Razzmatazz, Lux and Gare as well as tours of the US and Asia. 

On a somewhat enforced hiatus since 2019, he’s recently found his way back to DJing with a renewed sense of focus and purpose, with a desire to explore and share a wider range of interests than he felt able or permitted to do in the past. His regular ambient series ‘Through The Wreckage’, and usually quite experimental radio shows can be found via his Soundcloud and this mix, his first on a podcast since an ambient set for Monument in 2018, hones in on a deep and heady broken-beat rhythm.

The next episode is a one hour ode to the psychedelic breaks- going into a deep journey through tribal steps, dark dubbed rhythms and meditative drums. @amanita_p digged through her favourite labels to pick some of the finest mental psy-breakers- setting off for a journey in the depth of druid-steps.

Amanita is a Bologna-raised, Berlin-based dj, party organizer and scenographer. Proud mommy of Sinestesie- collective and DIY party series based in Italy, and Carpet Airlines- experimental cosy-dance oor/slow-rythms winter event series in Berlin. 

She hosts Morning Mantra, a monthly radio show on Radio Alhara where she explores the left  eld side of ambient and has fun with the most odd records digged  around.  

Amanita’s sound expands rhizomatically in a progressive & psychedelic galaxy suspended somewhere in between space and forests. With a particular a  ection for trancy rhythms and a pitching-down tendency, her music journeys are full of trippy loops, ritual atmospheres and gender-bender touches.  

Ambient, downtempo and dance  oor are all parts of the same mycelium,  contaminating each other while existing in di  erent dimensions.  She believes dancing is never about the speed of sound, neither listening about the absence of rhythm- but about the soulful depths of music, combined to the alchemic magics of the narrative process.
