This is one of the finest pieces of music ever written. It's very cinematic and I was kinda bored on a friday night, so I decided to just make my own version of it.
It's featuring the Minimoog model D, which has some trouble staying in tune, especially on the high notes. The Juno-60 on the chords. I ran the last half of it through this old tape deck, so you kinda get this rough tape hiss and distortion. 
I was kinda inspired by this arrangement of another song.

On this mix, originally appearing on Headphone Commute podcast in May of 2017, we celebrate some of the pioneers of early electronic ambient music, with the help of a long-time contributor, Fingers in the Noise. Here are all of the first explorations into the then unnamed genre, sometimes referred to as avant-garde, new-music, or simply electronic music. Pictured for the cover art of this mix is Laurie Spiegel, an American composer, who, while working in Bell Laboratories in the early 70s, composed with analog synthesizers using interactive software she wrote herself. Some of this music is hard to come by, with the early experiments a bit difficult to digest, so I thank Laurent Bisch for his wonderful selection of tracks for this very special tribute.

@forheavenuseonly-records, founded by French wunderkind Folamour, has quietly been releasing incredible music for almost a year. Currently, the discography includes two V/A comps and a collaborative EP between Folamour and Parviz. Next up for the label is a melancholic LP by the semi-mysterious producer Valentin Meneveau, aka @tochigi-canopy. In its entirety, the project is a meticulously expressive body of work spanning electronica, ambient, and deep house, and its immediate effect on the senses is a result of Tochigi’s unique ability to craft cinematic soundscapes that are more like audible paintings than songs.

A look into his world is a look into a kaleidoscope of ever-changing patterns that evoke mental images of nature, personal memories, and moments of nostalgia.“Collecting Things,” the second track on the A-side of the LP begins with the always calming sounds of birds chirping, a gentle intro to the warped, detuned synths that wrap the listener in an over-saturated state of bliss anchored by a percussive sequence that seems like a nod to pioneering hip hop instrumentalists like J-Dilla and Nujabes. A simple, chilled out bass line is the icing on the cake here, the perfect complement to a tripped out adventure into the deepest and most beautiful parts of your imagination. What are you waiting for? Tune in and fade out.

"I hear uon’s OUEST098 as three different behaviors of water cut into wax. 

The first track, Solaris, also comprises the record’s entire A-side—it’s oceanic. A textual motif printed on the disc’s label reads “Love is the eternal mood,” and “Solaris” sounds like the seemingly endless emotion of the sea. No axis, no locatable center, swelling, rolling—the positioning or lack of position of the one in love. Do I watch the wind knuckle the water’s surface or am I completely enveloped already? Of course, there is no cyclical course on a record’s surface that can turn eternally. The track ends after 17 minutes, and this is perhaps why uon's love, although it’s eternal, is also called a “mood”—something that sweeps over us, then, unbelievably, recedes tide-like.

“J” is choppy, white foam spitting off the shoulders of the waves—perhaps not even the humming omen of a storm coming, grey skies, but the hours before this charge. The water adopts a more forceful kinetics, salts a harder and regular stride, a confidence one might find incredibly sexy. It roils. With this cut, uon wades closer to dance-floor utility than many of their recent releases. I first came to know the artist as a DJ who, through their sequencing and sensitive mixing, completely changed the way I hear tracks I thought I knew by heart. They get floors churning. Productions such as “J” could put me there—pull my sweat and possibly tears out dancing, smutty tank-top, “wet look.”

The record’s final track is again on or in calmer liquid. Again with “Bus” there is the ambiguous position of the one in love—do I swim outside myself, or am I situated in my deepest region? The sonic palette: curdled sea slugs twisting inches away from your ear, submarine sonar pings, rain making the sea its dartboard. No doubt the water is much colder than that of “Solaris.” A tonal pad rises and falls throughout the song’s 6 minutes, like a current or riptide. It’s the last sound on uon’s record, depositing us back into silence, sand. So love may be the eternal mood here, but flux is the only mood of the eternal."
