Promoting Alberta music in hopes to connect local DJs of some aberta cities, Live Electronic Artist events, and podcasts with some fine arts contributers I find interesting in Alberta...you don't have to be signed to be promoted you just have to have good music in Alberta. 

Modest Kid is a collective of Modern music of any choice as long as it sounds good. Although we are primarily focusing on bass music, electronic music and indie music. We do appreciate all music and have an open ear to all music but at the moment we want to focus and draw attention to music genres often overlooked in Alberta. 

As much as we need another traditionally runned label this blog is more about promoting and supporting music labels across alberta rather than supportting its own kind in hopes to be a tool for alberta artists to show their talents and tour across alberta. 

The "Modest" represents the attitude you need and we all strive to have in this music business; humble. The "Kids" represents the needs for innocence and taking chances in making music. 

The DMK Founder finds it important that Old music remains cherished and that New music can just be as cherished as the old. 

The future of Independent Music is coming. without a face nor a style of clothing to be attached to it! If anyone is interested in joining the movement, You have to think of one thing. If this is your career, you have to fit it into one part of your day EVERYDAY because it's important to never give up

The trio produces a slow-burning psychedelic grime and the smoke that rises unfurls all over their psychedelic meanderings, scorching their faded, lo-fi velvet aesthetic until the fabric burns black.
