Little girl (I wanna make you mine)

While clearing out our loft for a conversion, I came across a bunch of tapes, CDs and zip discs of recordings from around 23 years ago. Among them were a bunch of acoustic songs I'd improvised and set aside. I'm not really sure why I never brought them to my bands at the time - I suspect I had bigger plans for them that couldn't be addressed by a 3-piece in a rehearsal room. I think I'd always intended to revisit them and give them the treatment I felt they deserved... so why not now?

This is the first of my "Forgotten Songs" - it's actually one of the last I wrote, as I recall, but I just picked it at random as the first to work on.

As I say, the acoustic guitar for the verses and choruses, and the lyrics were originally improvised or freestyled, then written down and developed. I added other parts, other instruments, cemented the arrangement etc, many years later. As if I haven't got enough ideas to work on already.

One day, when all these are done, I hope to release the original live recordings of these songs.
