Hakone (haa · ko · nay) is a lakeside village few hours south of Tokyo. I visited this region during cherry blossom season 2 years ago around this time of year and was really touched by the lush spring scenery and calming views of Mt. Fuji. It took me more than a year from that trip to feel like I could write something that accurately captured that experience, and another half a year to finish because I wanted it to be perfect. While I generally try to ignore perfectionism, I needed this track to be 100%; it would serve as a lasting memory of me biking across this Miyazaki countryside with my best friends - sipping soba noodles while meandering through small towns, sun-kissed fields, and blooming mountains. Hope you enjoy listening :)
