Drawing on Plato’s concept of the divided line, which describes the visible world of things and objects perceived versus the understanding we have of them, The Divided Line blends elements of prog with radio-friendly hooks while exploring unconventional song structure. The result is a melodic, hard-hitting sound with grooves and lyrics you won’t forget.

Inspired by the music of alternative and metal bands, such as Tool and Incubus, Blair Barton (Guitar) began writing songs in 2009. His desire to make the project a reality soon saw the band grow to include longtime friend, Reza Shaffaf (Bass Guitar). Their musical synergy was evident from the moment they began writing together.  It wasn’t long until the band started creating a buzz both in and out of Toronto. After various lineup changes and releasing three singles with guest artist Venn in 2014, they took a break to regroup and rebuild.

Persistence pays off.  Now joined by Greg Cave (multi-instrumentalist & singer/song-writer) and Luke Scott (Drummer, previously from Rumsfield) the group has bounced back quickly, writing new songs, performing shows and developing releases and videos.

The Criminal Kid is a female-fronted Canadian alt-rock band originating from Saskatchewan, Canada.  The core members of the group are Allysia Kerney (vocals, piano) and Michael Van Betuw (Drums).  Between the two of them, they have collaborated with over a dozen artists and groups in various genres (from electronic to metal) in their 10+ years of musical experience.  This experience has helped shape their innovative, genre-bending sound that has been described as “pop, rock, dark and fun all at the same time” (SPUN music).

Bleat Generation is an electronic music project based in Toronto, Canada. All material is original, with the exception of samples, which are manipulated extensively and never credited.

	Holy Mind Funk is a rock group from Newmarket pushing all elements of Rock and Roll to the forefront of their music. With characteristics of rock, funk, and punk it’s no wonder how Holy Mind Funk has become one of the up and coming rock groups in the GTA.  The band started in 2005 when guitarist Matt Kilbourne and original drummer Corey Hess began jamming in a basement in Newmarket/Holland Landing. Fueled by their love for funk and hard rock of early Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against the Machine and Queen’s of the Stone Age, Matt and Corey found like-minded musicians in singer/bassist Chris Seymour and Adam Wood in 2012.  Since the bands’ formation in May 2013, Holy Mind Funk has recorded four tracks and played multiple shows in Newmarket, Kingston, Barrie, Hamilton and Toronto.  What fans love about HMF is their unique style for synthesizing many factions of rock music into their songs.  

	Matt Kilbourne’s harmonic and pedal board and vocals combined with Chris Seymour’s bluesy and punk like bass riffs make for a strong guitar front while current drummer Dale Semple arms are challenging time and space with his hard drumming.  Sarah Semple, Bucketlist Music Reviews, commented this after a seeing Holy Mind Funk at the Sound Academy: “…”Desert Sessions,” a song that could be compared with something from the Arctic Monkeys, which left the crowd in awe.” Holy Mind Funk is committed to making the audience to lose themselves when preforming live.  The goal is to bring back the attitude to mainstream Rock and Roll.
