This is a different mix, D'n'B neurofunk, which I really enjoy dancing. It was created in 2020 with a tons of tracks I bought from this favourite dutch records label.
The selection is on the heavy/fast side, quite the opposite of my usual trance, which I like on the slower side. A totally different experience at the decks, it's just an experimental twist that I wanted to share in case someone out there likes it too.
Mixed at my home studio on my CDJ850 and DJM350.

Originario de la Ciudad de México y de raíces Oaxaqueñas. Jaciel Doquiz es la mente creativa detrás de Soul LieD.

Siempre autodidacta comienza su preparación musical en 2012 como guitarrista contemporáneo, tiempo después inicia dentro de la música electrónica ansioso de expresar sus propias ideas, decide entrar en el mundo de la producción musical. Es así que en el año 2014 lanza su primer pista ganando un concurso de Remix con el sello “Technocity Records” y lanzando sus pistas y compilaciones con el sello “Sirius Laboratory”.

Posteriormente comienza a experimentar con sonidos mas robustos y acelerados hasta fundar el proyecto “Demetria”, exportando sus pistas a distintas partes del mundo y colaborando con artistas de México, Japón, Portugal, Brasil y Venezuela. 

En 2016, decide retomar a Soul LieD experimentando diferentes técnicas e ideas en la línea "Psytrance", sin perder el toque agresivo e interactivo de Demetria, desarrollando un estilo perfecto en pistas de baile para día y noche.

Listen to this exclusive DJ set titled 'Lunar Cycles' by AURA BOREALIS. In his words: ''This was a really interesting mix to make. I constructed the mix at 2:30 AM in the night, wearing headphones. It was programmed on Ableton Live 11 to achieve careful precision on the modulations for each track. I made used of some of my favorite FX plugins - Replika XT, Raum, Portal & Echobode. I also made use of the DelayEternity RevIntensity (delay & reverb plugins from Arturia). Apart from a basic full range frequency range setting on the master channel (using a high-grade equalizer), I ran each individual track through a series of plugins based on personal choice & modulated multiple parameters in real time using an external MIDI device. Furthermore, I used simple automation to determine that exact time period of the track during these plugins would operate, and in what way. The whole process was not difficult.. nor was it consuming. It was a lot of fun, in fact.. a perfect way to keep me up at night. This journey consists of some ambient / atmospheric masterpieces by artists from around the world.. and a few psybient and fusion tracks as well, all really incredible. The idea was to craft the most perfectly nostalgic and euphoric story.. and lay out for you a journey that your ears would not so easily forget. Expect a great experience throughout, and a blast of an ending track. Much love, and happy listening!'
