The Nightmare Before

Our "Croisière du monde" album in progress with Roberto B (@user-55822457 and @robertoiib) continues with its 7th track, "Surfer sur les vagues" - or, in (our preferred) English translation, "Riding the Waves". We hope you'll enjoy this next joint composition of ours.

The track was created in collaboration on 24 October 2021 (initial mix and recording in MAGIX by Roberto B), 30 October 2021 (subsequent additions, mix and recording in GarageBand and Logic Pro by Alex M) and 31 October 2021 (final mix in Logic Pro by Alex M), and posted on SC on 13 November 2021 (by Alex M).

The artwork cover for the album and all its constituent tracks was designed and implemented by Alex M on 29 June 2021 (in Tayasui Sketch in Mac OS), cropped by Alex M (in Mac OS Preview) on 30 June 2021, and annotated with text by Alex M (in Mac OS Preview) on 2 October 2021 - in coordination and agreement with Roberto B.

Thank you so much, Roberto - for the beautiful musical ideas that inspire again our new collaborations in this ongoing "musique de film" - and more - album, "Croisière du monde"!

The danzaq makes his moves with a pair of scissors in hand, making them sound with the music rhythm. Formerly known as " tusuq laykas " ( dancing witchers)some centuries ago,  they used to dance to please the apus ( mountain spiritis) and bring welfare to the people.

Anglesey was called Mona by the Romans – and it keeps that name today in Welsh as “Ynys Mon” or “Mona Island.”

For centuries, Yns Mon has been linked to the mysterious order of magical priests known as the Druids, who were said to lead the Celtic British against the invading Romans after 43 A.D.

The link seems to have been made by a single Roman writer around the end of the first century A.D., Cornelius Tacitus, who wrote about a Roman attack on Anglesey, which he described as a center of British resistance. It took the  Romans over seventy years after they first set foot in Britain to conquer Yns Mon. 

The land remembers.
