Zip ghost started out of a chance encounter of The herbalist and M.R. Keith / Flame Kent at a convenient store in Montgomery AL. After a number of months the herbalist relocated to the mobile area, the duo continued to correspond  with the intentions of working together on a couple of rap / hip hop / underground projects. when the demo stage was reached they both realized that, what they thought was a side project, became a full time music en-devour. Zip Gho$t was born. the pair are based out of central and lower Alabama , recording remotely,  zip ghost has never been in the same room. with a mix tape ( joint venture) behind them, a higher quality 4 song E.P. followed shortly after (creature of habit). With both another mix tape and E.P. in the works , Zip Ghost is just getting started.

 music at large influences the two, nothing is ever off the table when it comes to production. classic soul / jazz /  funk / international  / even horror themes have found their way into the earliest of tracks. deep dark and thought provoking songs like "jury of my peers" and "self destructive behavior" show incite into the culture of which we live by the lyrics of Flame Kent.
