Outsiders: Abstrakce Records w/ Slokto, Gamelán Psíquico & Joni Kosmos @ Kiosk Radio 05.04.2021

Kashual Plastik, a vinyl, tape and art label, was founded for hedonism and free-spirited music lovers. The short run releases shall be dedicated to the underground and casually combine selected tunes from all kinds of music.

This month's episode welcomes avant-garde musician Laure Boer. She prepared a journey into a musical wonderland, where voices, strings and punctuate electronics cry for an outer-national ambient help. 

Second guest of the month is producer Malvern Brume, bringing spoken words, ambient noises and musique concrete spheres together for a mesmerizing poetic audio play. 

The final hour is a creation of People Skills aka Jesse Dewlow. He prepared a mix of some of his favorite moments from DIY events that he has personally recorded over the last decades.

We created the soundtrack for Tide magazine’s first issue. 

We worked together on the occasion of this new publication, by following the same guidance as the editorial team: to explore the notions of fulfillment and emptiness, through sonic textures instead of words and images. 

The result is less of a straightforward mix, and more of a varied musical atmosphere, which invites our readers to experience every page in an innovative way.

At the crossroads of ritual, industrial and electronic musics, there is a niche where many experimenters are clearing the edges of genres. The three members of Nze Nze (UVB76 and Sacred Lodge) are among these: summoning sequenced machines, digital samplers and multi-effects. They’re making the instrumentals telescope guttural vocals, war stories from Fang mythologies (vernacular language of Central Africa) and arrange everything to create hybrid, unclassifiable and disconcerting pieces.
The fundamentals of radical electronic musics are there, but the production, close to the great free-jazz records, lets claim a heritage far from obvious current proposals.

Angelo Badalamenti - Conversation On Twin Peaks

Iku Sakan a Japanese electronic musician and (occasional) DJ. Performing in the Berlin DIY / noise / improv scene, Iku started work in his home studio, culminating in three releases - the tapes Human Wave Music (Natural Sciences); Cepheidian (Planet Almanac); and LP Prism in Us All (Japan Blues); a tape on Atlantic Rhythms, Bloom Strings. After that, he released a 51 minute opus, Life Signs In Staccatissimo, on Open Hand Real Flames. His most recent works are the contribution on a comp EP on Workshop, and the archival release of his old recording as Sakan & Senju (with drummer Muneomi Senju) on Les Editions Japonais/Japan Blues.
