Tek Genesis is a Sydney bass fusion producer in the business of staying true to himself. Formerly known as William., the forward-thinking musician entered a brief creative hiatus to remedy his symptoms of artistic turmoil. After debugging his creative intentions, the Tek Genesis project was born.

It was one of the first things I was able to compose after a year of severe writers block, and most importantly it projects the vision I have moving forward with music. Leading up to this I often felt uncertain about the music I was making and struggled to share it, but this album has been a huge step in moving forward. Edward Padge is a Burmese-born, Bangkok-based DJ, producer, and sound designer whose work bridges cultural heritage with forward-looking electronic innovation. Emerging from Myanmar and evolving within Thailand’s thriving underground, Edward’s music is rooted in breakbeat, IDM, UK garage, experimental sound design, and minimal drum & bass.
As a DJ, Edward is known for sets that balance energy and precision with unpredictability, creating journeys that move both the body and the mind. His sound thrives on contrasts blending heavy bass-driven rhythms with intricate textures, moments of tension with release, and dance-floor energy with cinematic atmosphere.
Expanding beyond his core DJ identity, Edward also performs and produces under his darker, more experimental alias illstprjct. Where Edward Padge focuses on groove and connection, illstprjct dives into raw exploration: fractured beats, industrial tones, dissonant soundscapes, and unsettling ambience. It is a project designed to challenge boundaries, inviting listeners into a shadowed, experimental sonic world.
Together, Edward Padge and illstprjct represent the duality of Edward’s artistry: one side grounded in rhythm and collective experience, the other in experimental sound design and emotional intensity. This dual identity reflects the journey of a Burmese-born artist now shaping the underground soundscape of Bangkok, contributing to Southeast Asia’s growing role in the global electronic music conversation.
