Chicago is known for its enigmatic artists, those who have been behind the scenes of many productions but consistently out of the lime-light. Lorenzo Vektor is one such artist.

Since his early days in 1996, synching tape edits and drum machines, he has been melding techniques and technologies to create his unique Chicago style of Techno and Juke.

Lorenzo Vektor has released a slew of hi-octane tracks displaying his synthesizer wizardry. The 2010 EP “Turn it Up” (Silverback Recordings) was indicative of the magnitude and direction his career was going. With subsequent projects on labels such as Brooklyn Fire, Krunch, and Ghetto Division, Lorenzo has solidified his modular mayhem. Having honed his production and DJ skills, Lorenzo Vektor has also imparted this knowledge on a plethora of up and coming DJ/Producers. Consistently a prolific composer, he has formulated a variety of works under “Bass Taco”, “Trappist Monx”, and his newest amalgamation “Puft Dank”. Lorenzo is also currently developing his own label, “Rave Stabs,” as an outlet for avante garde electronic musicians that share his vision.

From Belgium to Chicago, you can anticipate more mystifying arrangements from this oracular creator. Assuredly, the more you learn about this inventive artist, the more you will realize you are just getting started with the inexplicable, Lorenzo Vektor.
