Techflex is a Vienna based Techno producer and DJ with a deep passion for the raw, hypnotic, dark and harder styles of the genre. Having discovered Techno in the early 90s, the music has shaped his perspective ever since and continues to inspire everything he creates today. His tracks are built on tight, repetitive grooves and a strong sense of rhythm, yet always offer subtle shifts that keep the energy moving forward. He has released music on labels like Naked Lunch, Sleaze Records (UK), Jeton and many more and collaborated with artists such as A.Paul, DJ Dextro, Dolby D and Audioklinik. His tracks have gained support from DJ Rush, Klaudia Gawlas, Umek, Ramon Tapia and more. He also founded the underground techno label Shadow State.

Carl Shorts is the sonic alter ego of an extraordinary, forward-thinking hard techno producer and composer. Known for delivering uncompromising, hard-hitting techno, his style is raw, relentless and industrial - forged in the underground and built for concrete walls, strobe lit floors and peak hour pressure.

Inspired by the grit of 90s European techno and the do it yourself ethics of modern underground movements, Shorts leads a new breed of hard techno artists. Drawing influence from the pulse of Berlins basements to the industrial echoes of Detroit, Shorts' productions are driven by pounding kick drums, relentless grooves and distorted rhythms and textures to create the hard-hitting sound that he is renowned for.  

With a sound firmly rooted in the underground scene, Shorts' technical compositional and production abilities allow him to channel a philosophy of movement, tension, and release in his tracks whilst constantly pushing the boundaries of hard techno music - no gimmicks, no compromises, just pure sustained intensity and power,  producing work that goes beyond expectation and never diluted.
