Kasper Bjørke is poised to return with his exquisite new album, 'After Forever', which is already tipped as the Danish producer's boldest and most elegant statement to date, with Clash Magazine laying down these words: 'Kasper Bjørke definitely makes art. Each production feels assured with the Scandinavian impacting a genuine sense of the cerebral into his music.'

The scene for 'After Forever' has been set by two EPs: 'Rush' featuring Tobias Buch, 'Sylvia' featuring CTM, and now the third installment 'TNR', which reveals another exciting collaboration with recent Domino Records and Beats In Space signing Jaakko Eino Kalevi. Jaako is an 'orignal weirdo, songwriter, crooner, analogue lover and a blessed lyricist'. According to The Guardian he is 'the most impressive 'rock'n'roll' artist with an alternate simultaneous 'proper' job that we've heard of since Vic Godard the post-punk postman. The Finnish 29-year-old has been releasing records back home, while being a tram driver in Helsinki. '

Chiming with effervescent synths, melodic flourishes and crisp, rough-hewn beats, 'TNR' is a poignant post-disco beauty, and now comes accompanied with a trio of standout remixes:

Kompakt stalwart Superpitcher leads the charge, with a double whammy of reworks that apply his killer pop instincts to the mix. His 'Chapter A Remix' zeros in on the track’s 'last days of disco' feel, with a down tempo treatment of retro hypnotism, punctuated with the classic Superpitcher beat.

His 'Chapter B Remix' then functions like a disco dub, bringing conga percussion and shakers to the forefront with an extra dose of swing, leading towards a wall of synth sound at the track's end.
Kasper's own '20 Weeks Rework' completes the circle of this trio of interpretations, pointing the spotlight towards the lightfilled synths, guitar licks and the touching, melancholic pop vocals over an almost urban beat.

The stunning lo-fi hand animated musicvideo accompaniment from Netherlands' Alpaca Animations that will premiere around the releasedate of the single, is a perfect visualization of the feeling evoked by the short and simple lyrical hook: 'Times New Roman, Times of Love / I Want To Go Into The Deeper Shadows.'

After a teasing hiatus, we are glad to welcome back Juli Holz, who has exchanged the emotional cotton candy for an altogether darker dance-floor-aesthetic. ‘Drive’ captivates by way of deep sawtooth bass and, of course, Juli’s brilliantly distinct voice, which can be heard here in the most diverse facets. Kind of leftfield, but marvellously danceable. Lastly, Dan Caster delivers a driving remix of epic proportions. Girl Power!

Illesnoise – Nova (Oliver Koletzki Remix) [Full Track]

Speaking Minds return to Aeon with their first EP on the label, after a remarkable appearance as remixers on Dodi Palese’s ‘Black Drop Effects’.

This release starts off with ‘JSB’, a captivating and hypnotic affair enhanced by perfectly crafted delayed synths creeping out of the background. The constant darkness in harmonies and pads takes the listener through a brilliantly thought out progression and leaves them wanting for more after this 9-minute trip ends.

‘Yaoundé’ continues on this melancholic vibe, while bringing forward a more cinematic and even more chilling side from the Italian producers’ music. The main ambient lead develops beautifully, alongside many synth harmonies, and offers a contrast with a pushing drum section. This track is reduced to its essence, with crisp shakers and hi-hats bringing a drive to the intense atmosphere created by numerous harmonic layers.

Closing off this EP, ‘Paradise’ features a drunken melody evolving all through the track; a hook that is celverly completed by a pad halfway through. The arrangement, natural and flowing, makes every element of this trip shine, from the discrete chords in the background to the main synth line.

Speaking Minds have truly spoken with their heart here. This is a collection of masterfully crafted tracks full of melancholy and passion. Prepare to be taken aboard this cinematic trip...

“You know it's true, don't you?" You know it's true, sometimes emotions can be darn unsettling and disturbing – as they flow deep down our consciousness uncovering fears, thoughts and feelings. Yes, if we're focused too much on our personal hedonistic euphorias, sometimes we lose that... It gets lost; You know it's true. You may know it's true.

Manfredi Romano aka Dj Tennis shapes this treasure, a release that is decisively out of the box; a small cathedral made of subtle shades and unusual EQ's, where ideas seduce and frighten.

That's “Divisions”, led by Danish singer and guitarist Jeppe Kjellberg. Who's words and voice are carefully crafted as a precious, poisoning weapon of concern and bewilderment; as it is “Chirality” a deep, insistent, gelid voyage. Which distinctively in this round, We find ourselves not only with Tennis' masterful production skills but also the astounding addition of Sophie Trudeau's string work – she's been the driving force behind the string sections of legendary Canadian post-rockers Godspeed You Black Emperor, one of the most dark, cinematic and unsettling rock acts of the last decades – which really ads a poignant and visionary mood and emotions we rarely encounter and by that we can rarely breathe.

The original edits have been respectfully and creatively revisited by techno pioneer Roman Flügel, who masterfully rubs “Divisions”; turning it into a sensual, devious, laid down affaire. Lastly, closing the ride , the legendary English duo Plaid - true masters and innovators within the Intelligent Dance Music field- grace “Chirality” with their very own touch made of alien sounds, mutant rhythm architectures, warm dynamics and heartbreaking melodic caresses that iconically represents their visions.

"Black Sunrise“ by Francesco Chiocci feat. Black Soda, was one of the highlights of our last edition of Livingroom Techno. When we heard the track for the frst time, we knew right away that it endears itself to remixers due to the haunting vocals by Black Soda from Cape Town.
The result is a full on family affair: Olderic, Lehar, Musumeci and Peter Pardeike have interpreted "Black Sunrise“ and although each of them has created his own trip, all of them are genuinely "The Sound of Connaisseur“.

Olderic’s version preaches the peak-time open-air moment with some proper pathos on top.

Lehar’s remix on the other hand takes the middle course between catchiness and abstract soundscapes, delivering a very unique interpretation.

Musumeci has created a deep house builder in the manner of Atjazz or Charles Webster, timeless to the bone.

And last but not least, Peter Pardeike declares his love to Afro-Beat with his version.
More summer simply isn’t possible!

Mïus is a solo music project by Gergely Álmos, based in Budapest, defined as a multi-art project wherein the different fields of self-expression meet each other.

After the great reception to Mïus’s album "Eigengrau" back in April, Sonar Kollektiv is releasing a lead single from it complete with a fantastic remix by The Black 80s. When you add in the chilly vocals of Kasia Kowalczyk, which soar with some heavenly chords, you have a really standout production.

The Black 80s aka Canadian duo Hollis P Monroe & Overnite have released some choice house cuts on Air London and Freerange in the last couple years. Here they magically reimagine 'Strobe & Noise' as a pinging house cut with taught drums, woodpecker hits and brooding bass. The vocals now take on a real sense of menace and it doesn’t take much to see this one sending clubs onto overdrive.

Adam Beyer’s Drumcode juggernaut attracts more fans and critical plaudits with each passing year. Holding firm on its future facing ethos, techno’s number one label presents a new volume in its acclaimed A-Sides series with 20 prime tracks to signify its 20th anniversary. 

Such is the volume of quality music Adam Beyer receives throughout the course of the year, releasing all of it would be impossible. Enter the blue chip A-Sides series: a chance for the quality-obsessive label head to issue a collection of outstanding tracks that couldn’t fit in their regular EP release schedule. 

With an eye on future talent, as much as the label’s established roster of heavy-hitters, the compilation showcases the full breadth of Drumcode’s multifaceted techno sound, equal parts inspiring and functional.

Dario D'Attis (@dario-dattis-1) has developed a well deserved reputation for sparkling, groove-laden house music over his already impressive career. The Swiss DJ and producer has risen to become a celebrated name in the European scene, having held down influential residencies at locations like Oxa in Zurich and through his own renowned party - Amaro. Here he returns to Poker Flat Recordings to showcase all his musical charm once more.

'Solera' is a chunky slice of floor-moving house music, replete with drum  fills, a building energy and a trippy looped vocal - seemingly the perfect vibe for open air parties.

'Body Somebody' is darker in attitude and its sound design - more of a heads down late night stormer that features a cut-up disco loop that gives the track its title, and a masterful use of suspension and release in its structure.

'Solera (Reprise Mix)' brings back the title track and mutates it into a chilled balearic vibe for the beach, while the 'Body Somebody (Instrumental)' removes the vocal and gives room for the DJ to do their thing.
