Hailing from the legendary underground nightclub Fu Bar in Auckland NZ, Cern (aka Ollie) has been putting out records for nearly 15 years, a body of work which has grown into a diverse and varied collection of solo and collaborative releases.

Cern is known for his brooding productions which evoke a visceral response in the listener through their texture and tension.

With two LPs to his name, ‘Terminus’ (2011, Project 51/Uprising) and ‘Under Another Sky’ (2014, Dispatch Recordings), Cern has also released music on labels including Renegade Hardware, Commercial Suicide, Samurai Music, 31 Records and many more. He has also collaborated with artists such as DLR, Jubei, Loxy, Sabre, One Mind, Concord Dawn & Nymfo.

Thanks for all the support you guys have given me over the years,

My journey began way back in 2004 When i heard drum and bass for the first time. Hunting for those hidden tracks and starting to building a collection I knew i was onto something very special. When i was introduced to my first rave (enchanted)in Adelaide 2006 I knew i wanted to be behind the decks, playing to all them ravers having the time of there lives. 2007 I managed to save up to buy the numark battle pack 2x turn tables 1x mixer and headphones for $800. quickly realising they aren't for scratching, I became obsessed wth mixing, as time went on i realised it wasn't about impressing others in the industry or close friends it was about impressing myself witch was a much harsher critic and still to this day I'm learning as much as i can in ways i can improve my style in my own way. My passion with drum and bass is only growing, upgrading gear when i can and constantly adding to the collection,  working full time aswell as social life is deferentially a balancing act and for the last couple of years producing is now in the mix, Im very fortunate to invest in my own home studio. teaching myself how to mix was one thing but making tunes is a whole other ball game, The best thing I've ever done was to seek out a tutor from SAE and join E&B. slowly but surly I'm ticking them boxes, My goals for the future are too keep sharing my music with you and  Keep up with consistent mixes,
and of course playing live.
